Tai Kok Tsui is a place where i seldom landed my foot there, since it was not conveniently located. Even with the opening of Olympic MTR station, i still need to change line to reach. As i got some errands to run around that area after finishing work, i can only have my dinner in the late night. Tai Kok Tsui was a place full of industrial factories, thus once sky turned dark, many of the food stalls were closed for the day. I happened to walk into a small alley and happen to see a line of restaurants still operating. Since it was already quite late and not wanting to eat till full, i decided to settle for a bowl of noodles.
Their menu is very extensive, with alot of ingredients to choose from. They also have set meal to choose from, $40 for a bowl of noodles with 4 ingredients to choose from. Set meal comes with a cup of soya bean drink. For customers who wish to choose other drinks will only need to pay half of the usual price. As for herbal drink, customers only need to top up $7 instead of the ala carte price of $14.
Even for noodle selection, their choices were more than i could ask for. Most of the shops do not have sweet potato vermicelli as noodles, thus i immediately choose it as my default choice. These springy noodles are also called “glass noodles” because of their beautiful translucence. They are incredibly chewy but healthy and delicious. Nutritious with a chewy texture and a slight slipperiness, sweet potato noodles are a healthy alternative to wheat and rice flour noodles.American beef slices were slightly tough, as they might be overly cooked. Swiss chicken wings is a kind of sweet soy sauce-flavored chicken wings. It taste aromatically sweet and meat was soft as well. Cuttlefish ball has an elastic and fluffy texture.
Enoki mushroom has a mild, delicate flavour that is complimented by a slight crunch. The texture is tender yet firm with mild, refreshing flavor.
As for the drink, i go for herbal drinks as the weather has started to turn mild cold and the staff recommended me to go for their home made herbal drink. They sell 2 types of herbal drink and i decided to go for honey aloe vera herbal drink. Luckily, the honey has diluted away the herbal taste, thus the drink was not bitter at all. The drink was very cooling and together with the soft aloe vera, it was a good choice by the staff.

For students wearing school uniform, they were able to enjoy a slightly discounted price of $30 for a bowl of noodles with 3 choices of food.
