Japanese skewers >> Ok. Homey and honest tasting, right amount of fire and not as salty as other skewer restaurants. Meat skewers were less exciting because Shiba used less condiments. We had beef tongue, chicken soft bones and skin, zisu minced chicken patty.Vegetable skewers on the other hand stood out by sticking to the original sweetness of the ingredients. The bite size sweet potatoes - each potato was around 2 inches and caramelized under the fire. Crispy on the skin and steamy soft on the inside. Other choices such as ginkgo, tofu, green peppers and mushrooms were decent.
Most ingredients were imported from Japan hence the more premium prices. I would say drinks were the focus and food was to complement.

Best to make table reservation in advance. This place is tiny, subtle and authentic. It feels like walking into a Japanese TV drama set.
