Has to wait so long

We booked to come here at 8:30 on Friday night, and was very excited to try this place. We were very early so we decided to walk around Cotton on and a few other shops around that area. We arrived at this restaurant around 5 minutes early thinking we would be able to sit in around 8:30. But we were made to wait until 9pm and there was still no sign of being seated. The person serving us at the door kept saying she had no control over it. But the thing is, we shouldn't have to wait that long. If

We arrived at this restaurant around 5 minutes early thinking we would be able to sit in around 8:30. But we were made to wait until 9pm and there was still no sign of being seated. The person serving us at the door kept saying she had no control over it. But the thing is, we shouldn't have to wait that long. If we booked for 8:30 it's the restaurants responsibility to ensure we get to sit at that time. Or else I would book for 8:30 and arrive at 9:30. Very disappointed in the organisation and planning of this restaurant and will think again before going here. Ruined my night and was rude about it as well.
