If you are looking for a cheap Hong Kong-style option in TST, then this is a safe bet. The tiny space has two bar tables and sat elbow to elbow in a packed house. First came the two savouries. The soup was standard and nourishing with rice noodles. It had no noticeable MSG and was quite satisfying. The star of the show was the meat. The pork chop was moist and fatty in a wonderful batter. It tasted great. The chicken wings were also delicious and fried in the same light batter.
After we finished these, the waffle came out. Crispy and chewy, it was spread with peanut butter and condensed milk. We will be returning on the back of the waffles alone.
Good value, good food - great place.
