The semi-outdoor sitting area is decked with large patio benches that make you feel like you have all the space in the world, despite the place actually being quite full during lunch-hour. The surrounding paintings and other interesting artwork add to the good ambience. I recommend a trip upstairs as well, where there are more paintings by the creator of the restaurant... I was especially fond of the way he painted tree branches... It was the sort of place where even if the food turned out med
1 set lunch:
羅宋湯 - Sufficiently tomatoey
豚扒 - Not that exciting, but well made. Could do with more ‘薯菜’–had we chosen spaghetti/rice, they would have given a significantly larger portion of it.
心太軟 - Chocolate taste was not as strong as I’d have liked, and the cake could have been crispier. If not ordered with a set lunch, it’d have costed quite a bit more than it’s worth…
2 À-la-carte:芝士肉醬焗薯角 - This was considerably tastier than the set lunch items. Sadly, the potato skins are only available for tea – I expect they would be quite good as well.
Pizza - Also much better than the set lunch food… though it was a bit over-drenched with thousand island dressing, which made the pizza quite overly soggy in places.
