Had an amazing meal at sister Tempura Jiro, so (at suggestion of manager) decided to try this new Sashimi restaurant in the same group. Already very fully booked for lunch, so had to go for the 2pm slot. The chef of its predecessor left, so they got a new chef, Takenori Hara San (also Japanese) and changed to his name. Decor remained the same as before. There were 2 lunch sets to choose from, $880 (sashimi x 3, sushi x 10, plus steamed egg, sushi roll, soup and dessert) and $1380 (sashimi x 4, s
There were 2 lunch sets to choose from, $880 (sashimi x 3, sushi x 10, plus steamed egg, sushi roll, soup and dessert) and $1380 (sashimi x 4, sushi x 12, with an additional grilled dish).
Apparently Takenori San specializes in Edomae sushi (where the fish is marinated and preserved for a few days rather than served fresh) and sources his ingredients from Toyosu market, Tokyo.
We picked the $880 set.
