Have eaten breakfast/brunch here twice now. (It is open every day from 7 am and is a great alternative to hotel breakfasts.) Both times the food was excellent. The menu is innovative; it includes breakfast standards like sausage and eggs, several different kinds of eggs benedict, muesli, etc., but also has things like a breakfast burrito and a "stack of rosti". Tried both of those and they were both quite good.....the burrito was lightly spiced and not "hot" with jalapenos. The rosti st
The decor is clean and modern, with a large bar area (lots of tables and some sofas) on one side and a large dining area on the other. Lots of wood and glass, so when it gets full of chattering crowds, it can be rather noisy. Maybe not so good for a post-hangover brunch. :-)
The staff is variable. There are several Australians who were helpful and solicitous. But there are also some people of indeterminate nationality, some of whose comprehension was not up to snuff. (My companion got a diffferent breakfast than the one he ordered, despite having clearly pointed to the right one on the menu. Maybe the watress can't read?) At least, when he pointed out the mistake, she made it right.
Prices are in line with brunch in other brunch-type restaurants, so I'd say good value for money at that time of day. I looked over their dinner menu and it looked rather more pricy. (List of wines by the glass was long, not outrageously priced, and not just the usual plonk. Go for wine!)
