We had afternoon tea here. It was my first time to dine-in (I usually get takeaway). There are a couple of rules for dining in - fist, every person has to order. One in our group wasn’t hungry, but still had to order a drink. There is a good value tea set - 3 pieces of cake and two drinks - but you can’t take away the cake if you don’t finish it. If you want to takeaway, they said they will charge you the regular price for each cake, not the tea set price!!!!The dining room upstairs is furnis
The dining room upstairs is furnished prettily and is comfortable and a nice escape from the crowds and heat below. However, the staff serving upstairs seemed a little unfriendly and the service was minimal.
We ordered the banoffee pie which was nice. The Apple mint tea was lovely and fragrant.
