After reading all the rave reviews about Paul Lafayet pastries at Open Rice, we decided to give it a try.... For a dessert foodie, this place's pastries leave you disappointed. Ordered the Mille -Feuilles, Cremoso Craquelin, Dome Chocolat-Myrtilles, Craquelin Au Chocolat , Chocolat Blanc Au Jasmin et Citron, and a Mango dome... again all desserts tasted lame and nothing surprised our palate to really differentiate one dessert from another....By the description of each pastry, you would think each presented its own characteristic but agin nothing really special about of the pastries.
For really good authentic european delicacy pastries in HK, so far the best still L'Atelier de Joel Roubuchon at The Landmark
