It's hotpot time!!!!! I haven't had chicken hotpot for a long time! This newly restaurant is modern and spacious. When we sat down, we ordered a regular 66's chicken hot pot. The regular one includes half a chicken which is the perfect amount for two people. The hotpot arrived shortly, the staff told us to wait and let the chicken settle first. After five minutes, we couldn't wait any longer; the staff took the lid off and we started to eat. The chicken smelled so nice! It was a bit spicy for me

It's hotpot time!!!!! I haven't had chicken hotpot for a long time! This newly restaurant is modern and spacious.

When we sat down, we ordered a regular 66's chicken hot pot. The regular one includes half a chicken which is the perfect amount for two people. The hotpot arrived shortly, the staff told us to wait and let the chicken settle first. After five minutes, we couldn't wait any longer; the staff took the lid off and we started to eat. The chicken smelled so nice! It was a bit spicy for me but the staff told us that it's best to get the little spicy rather than no spicy because they are famous for the spicy sauce. After tasting the chicken, my tongue was numb but very yummy. I could also taste some sweetness in the sauce, I think they added some honey as well. The texture of the chicken was tender and juicy, the chicken absorbed the sauce so they were very yummy. After we almost finished the chicken, the staff added some soup into the pot so we could start putting other things in for hotpot.

Homemade fried bean curd roll was so crispy! We only put it into the soup for around 30 seconds so that the outer layer is soft but the inside will still be a bit crispy. The outer layer absorbed the soup which made it very tasty.

Sliced signature beef was delicious. They were fresh as their colour was very red. They were in think slice so we didn't need to cook it for a long time. The beef was tender and easy to chew. I like the texture because it was very smooth.

My friend loves meat ball so we got an assorted meat ball platter:
Homemade cuttlefish ball:
The cuttlefish ball was so big and black. The black sauce was actually the squid ink. The ball was very solid and full of cuttlefish's paste; the flavour was quite special.

Homemade shrimp ball:
This one was my favourite because I love shrimp, again, the ball was big. It was full of shrimp paste and very easy to bite off.

Fish ball:
Unlike the one that we can get from the hawker, these fish ball was smooth and fishy.

Lobster ball:
It was chewy and had fish roe within the ball.

Pork ball:
It tasted so good, there were some mushroom crumbs within the ball, I actually quite like that flavour.

Beef ball:
It was smooth and meaty. The texture was very smooth with no extra crumbs inside.

Deep fried dough sticks stuffed with corned beef and cheese was the famous dish in this shop. This is a must try item because this is the only place that has it. This is actually a very special dish because I never thought you can eat this dough stick with hotpot. They were amazingly delicious, we didn't leave the stick in for long otherwise the outer layer won't be crunchy. The corned beef and cheese were such a fantastic combination, when I bite it, the melted cheese and corned beef matched perfectly with the crunchy dough stick. I really like it!

We also got a 66's assorted vegetables basket which includes mushroom, tomato, corn, assorted vegetable. The mushroom was soft and tasty. The tomato was sweet and soft. The corn was sweet and tasted so good with the soup. The vegetables were fresh and crispy.

The lime soda was in a big jar which was enough for two of us. It was refreshing and a bit sour. The sourness helped to digest the food that we eat.
