Had tried several other tonkatsu restaurants but never came to Tonkichi since there's always a long queue. Finally came here for dinner with boyfriend as he was craving for pork cutlet and he's been telling me Tonkichi's not bad Boyfriend wanted some oysters as well and these did not disappoint us at all. I ordered a pork fillet set and he had the premium royal pork loin set.
I tried some of the pork loin from his set and didn't find it very special from the ordinary pork loin, and I personally think it's a little bit too dry and thin as well. :/
I reckon the pork fillet from my set was better and he agreed so
The pork fillets were really tender and juicy (:I'd recommend this pork fillet set, but definitely not the set for the so-called 'premium' pork loin. Not really worth the money for that one
In general I'd prefer Sabo*** for pork cutlets.
Hope to see some improvements for Tonkichi especially it's one of the award's winner~
