I had lunch here once back in July and was quite impressed by the miso soup. So I went back tonight for dinner with a friend, and was pissed off by the attitude of the waitress in charge of seating.When we got there, there weren't that many customers and there was a table for four available. Since there was a couple in front of us, we asked if we could split the table, and the waitress said no. She insisted we have the seats at the bar or we would have to wait. When we got there, there weren't that many customers and there was a table for four available. Since there was a couple in front of us, we asked if we could split the table, and the waitress said no. She insisted we have the seats at the bar or we would have to wait. We weren't in a hurry and so we waited. She then came over and ushered us outside. On our way out, we realized that there was a couple sitting at a table for four and we asked if we could sit there instead. The waitress claimed those seats were taken. Five minutes later, the couple left, and the waitress acted as if nothing happened.
Anyway, the kitchen was pretty efficient in delivering our orders. The soup was good, as I remembered, but the ramen wasn't cooked properly; it was definitely frozen until the moment it was put in hot water, or it wasn't boiled long enough.
I definitely still prefer <a href="http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/sr2.htm?shopid=19092">八八八拉麵 (紅磡)</a>!
