Their menu was comprehensive, offering a wide range of Japanese cuisine such as sashimi, sushi, yakitori, appetizer, salad, fried items, tamagoyaki and drinks etc.
After we selected our sake drink, they allowed us to select our own sake glass from a tray of glasses. Shirakiku black label sake was easy to drink and clear, going well with those skewers we ordered.
Octopus with wasabi - Octopus was very chewy and smooth, able to taste the freshness. When mixed with wasabi, it was spicy and appetizing, with strong wasabi taste.
Tofu with sesame paste - Tofu was very soft and smooth, and when mixed with sesame salad sauce, it was appetizing and juicy.
Tamagoyaki with cod roe - The chef was generous with the serving of the cod roe, which was flavourful. Omelette was cooked till soft and smooth, sweet in taste too. Cod roe complimented nicely with the omelette.
Stewed clam with sake - Clam was fat and huge in size, juicy and fresh in taste. Soup was clear and sweet, with slight sake taste.
Shrimp tempura - It was deep fried till the skin was soft and crispy, and yet the shrimp inside was still chewy and juicy. Sauce was provided to enhance the taste.
Minced chicken with sauce - Egg was provided to dip onto it, and the minced chicken was marinated with sweet sauce, thus it was juicy and chewy.
We ordered a mixture of pork with fuji apple, American wagyu beef cube and grilled American ox tongue. Apple wrapped with pork slice, thus the pork was sweet, crunchy and chewy, complimenting well. Beef skewer were tender and juicy, skewed nicely.
Rice ball with sauce - The edge of the rice ball was grilled till charred and crispy and was flavourful in taste, grilled with soy sauce. Seaweed was provided to wrap with it.
Rice ball with dried seaweed and cod roe - Rice was chewy and fragrant, and mixed them all together, cod roe helped to make it flavourful and the soup was sweet in taste too.
Udon soup - Udon was cooked till soft and smooth, and the soup was served hot and clear in taste.
Red bean fern cake - Cake was very chewy and served cold, with matcha powder spread on it. Red bean was sweet and chewy in taste.
