To clarify, their afternoon tea starts at 3pm on Sunday not 2:30pm. If you don't have a strong preference for the seats with a view of the Mall, there is no need to come an hour early and coming at 3pm would be fine. I came around an hour early and was the 2nd in line for the afternoon tea so I was able to get the seats with a view easily. We ordered their Christmas drinks, which were cute and the drinks remained hot even after our photos with the afternoon tea set so the cups definitely were great for insulation. 
The afternoon tea finally came and it was gorgeous with the Christmassy background. You even get a complementary doll.
Due to the cool weather, I loved their hot savory the most, including the spring rolls and the sando.
For the desserts, their creme brulee was definitely the best.
The cookies and gingerbread were definitely cute as well. Despite the adorable and cuteness factor, I would say the afternoon tea was a bit small in proportion to the price and I guess since they gave us so much toppings for the scones, maybe adding 1 more scone per person would be better. However, still a great afternoon tea overall.
