Having worked in Wanchai for more than 2 years, it was my first visit to the 1563 restaurant. I’ve always wanted to try new restaurants especially those with live music 🎵The restaurant is located at Hopewell Centre, the atmosphere is filled with starry lights in the ceiling, very nice and relaxing place for chatting, great for having drinks with friends and chill. As the happy hour drinks were served until 7pm, we quickly ordered 2 drinks to go along with some snacks while we catch up. My friend ordered a glass of prosecco and I ordered fruit punch (I usually go for an alcoholic drink but I was ill so I went for something ordinary instead) 🥂🍹
We weren’t really hungry and as we were waiting for our other friend to be off work, we ordered a few snacks while waiting.

The fries and south-asian platter were great, very flavourful and had been fried perfectly. 🍟🍖🍤 The fried squid unfortunately was a bit soggy and the batter was thick.
We had a great chat until we left around 8:20pm because we planned to meet our working-overtime friend in Central. Would love to stay longer and enjoy the live music in my next visit ❤️
