What an exhausting week that I had to work on a Sunday as well... As a New Territories sider with rare chances travelling all the way to Hong Kong side, I planned to stay behind for the dinner after work. Arriving at half 6 on a Sunday night, LKF is not busy at all with only some random tables for happy hour chitchatting, which is perfect for diners like us not aiming for drinks. With the offer, we ordered the 2 relatively most expensive mains hahaa.
Having pub food we were not asked how well for the steak to be done, which is fair enough. The finishing product is quite impressive, slightly dark pink inside with a crispy outer layer and some chargrill checked. It is reasonably tender, flavored with the creamy butter with herbs, although it would be better if one more pinch of salt is added. Salad veg is fresh and simple with light fruity sauce. What surprised us more is the chips. Thinly cutted chips with potato skin which indicates the chips are homemade. They are hot and crispy, and most importantly not over-salted.
The salad and chips are similar as above. The BBQ ribs are very tender and juicy. The caramelised sauce with a twist of spiciness goes really well with the ribs. 5 large big ribs are generous enough to fill our stomach. Overall the quality of food is better than expected, but it would be quite overpriced if there is no buy-one-get-one-free offer.
