Late night at work and wanted a quick, tasty bite. Wife and I have passed by this restaurant a few times as we live in the area and had wanted to try it for decoration alone. The place is Old Hong Kong at it's most glory days. There are a lot of places like this now, so it's hard to impress the bloggers, but the place feels right and my wife and I were both nicely seated quickly, all the eating utensils including the box of tissue were their own brand which was a very nice touch.Food-wise, w
Food-wise, we ordered the:
1) Meat patty rice of the day
2) Curry Fish Ball
3) Sesame and Hoi Seen sauce Rice rolls
The Curry Fish ball was one that didn't achieve HIT status, it was definitely passable, but perhaps we were a bit late so it wasn't as hot (temperature) or quite spicy enough, but it did have good texture, especially with the bean sprouts. Not bad.
The Meat Patty and Rice rolls were both home run HITS, very tasty, the rice was VERY good with good rice flavor and with minced garlic and some sweat soy sauce, it was GREAT.
The Rice rolls were made to order and the sauce and sesame seeds were just right and we were both so so so satisfied.
Smiles on both our faces. Will definitely return soon and bring friends.
