Sunny Thai is a family run, friendly Thai restaurant in Tai Kok Tsui (near Olympic MTR station and Mong Kok neighborhood). The dish I always get is the Hainan chicken, because it's BONELESS and the most tender Hainan chicken I've ever had in HK. It's perfectly cooked, tasty and comes with a side of veggies/rice. Usually, I skip the rice and go for veggies only (perfect no-carb meal), and it's super filling with their assortment of kale, baby corn, broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms.
On a cheat day, I like to get the Tom Yum soup rice noodle with a piece of Hainan chicken thrown in. It's absolutely sinful!!
The people who run the place are super accommodating, friendly and kind. They always give us a bowl of free dessert at the end of our meals, usually taro sago or green bean soup.
Please try out the Hainan chicken here if you haven't already. VERY recommended!!
