With the new Despicable Me movie coming out, McDonald's has a new movie tie-in meal. Offering two burgers and cute Minion shaped tater tots. It was cute enough for me to order take away after work.They even changed all the cups with a Minion design that was just too cute for words.I ordered the Eggcellent Silly Double Beef Burger. The top of the brioche bun was stamped with a Minion.
The thing was the burger looked nothing like the ad. The advertisement had a sauce, egg, patty, cheese, patty, sauce. What I got was sauce, huge egg, two patties, sauce and cheese. Why was the cheese on the bottom?? The top sauce was a black pepper sauce. The bottom sauce was a wasabi mayo. This really wasn't that good. It was a weird combination that didn't work.
The combo comes with 6 Minion shaped tater tots. It was also packed in a paper box.
Opening them, they did look a bit like a Minion. Or at least some sort of one eyed monster. These weren't too bad. Soft and fluffy on the inside. Crispy on the outside.
Definitely cute but I don't think I'd order it again. The burger wasn't worth a repeat.
