Though father's day has passed for quite some time, we finally have time to have a family lunch together one of our favourite tea houses which is Dragon King Restaurant in Kwun Tong. The nicely marinated pig feet was flavourful with a strong Chinese seasoning taste. The meat was very soft that it was falling off the bone. I also liked that it was served warm instead of stone cold like some other Chinese restaurants out there.
The minced fish had a strong fishy taste along with some Chinese herbs. The soup also had a flavourful milky fish taste and both of them just complimented nicely with each other. It was a light sharing dish to enjoy at any family lunch!
This dim sum is not something we can easily find in any Chinese tea house nowadays. This traditional big dumpling was filled with minced pork, shrimps, and other veggies. The dumpling has a very thin skin yet tough enough to hold the whole dumpling together. The giant dumpling is swimming in some fish based soup which was not too fishy yet with a strong seafood flavour, matching nicely with the meat and shrimp taste from the dumpling.
