Every now and then, there will be new cafes opening up at Central and while walking along the street of Lyndhurst Terrace, i chanced upon this new cafe named Rare restaurant. Even though it was opened not long ago, it was already full house when i reached. Since i was alone, it was fast to get a seat. It was located at Lyndhurst Terrace, where the famed egg tarts was located.They do offered lunch set from 1130am to 3pm, priced between $108 to $158. The set consisted of salad or soup, main course

Chef salad - It came with a slice of bread even though i ordered chef salad. The bread was soft and moistful. The salad and cherries were very fresh and crunchy, and there were cheese cubes and bacon bits in it. Cheese cubes were cold and chewy, enhancing the taste of the salad.
Truffle and porcini risotto - The serving was just nice for 1 person. There were black truffle pate and plenty of mushroom in it. Cheese flakes were placed on top of the risotto, to compliment with it. Rice and mushroom were chewy and soft.
Iced lemon tea - Sugar syrup were poured into the drink, and it was sweet and has strong lemon taste.
