Anniversary celebration dinner @ Via Quadronno

Armed with a 20% discount coupon, we decided to have our anniversary celebration dinner here with my family (total 8 of us). On the advice of the manager, we decided to order a la carte and hence we tried a lot of nice dishes from the menu. For starters, we particularly like the seafood tomato soup (I think they must have put lobster into the soup - delicious !) and the assorted ham; the panfried goose liver with apple sauce was ok. Armed with a 20% discount coupon, we decided to have our anniversary celebration dinner here with my family (total 8 of us). On the advice of the manager, we decided to order a la carte and hence we tried a lot of nice dishes from the menu. For starters, we particularly like the seafood tomato soup (I think they must have put lobster into the soup - delicious !) and the assorted ham; the panfried goose liver with apple sauce was ok. For main dishes, the roast chicken and pork tenderloin were fine, though not very special; the seafood pasta was done alright (really al dente), and the lasagna was also ok (though we would have enjoyed it even more if there could be more cheese on it). By far the most special dish was the baked John Dory fish wrapped in paper foil - nicely done, tender and juicy and with lots of vegetables. We also ordered a bottle of house red for sharing ($300). The restaurant has a nice romantic ambience and the service is attentive and polite - the way it should be for high-end Itialian restaurants. So although we did not have too many nice surprises in terms of the food served, we did have a most enjoyable evening. If they offer discount again I would probably come to try the set dinner some other time.
