Amazing improvement

I’ve been here 3 times now. First time when it first opened in June/July. Food was great, service was not so great, none of the staff spoke good English and no one was particularly friendly but the decor and food is amazing so I came back a second time about 2 weeks ago. The western girl at the door was extremely helpful and smiley, chatted with me as she walked me to my table, and she even remembered me from the first time I came. I immediately felt welcomed. I’ve been here 3 times now. First time when it first opened in June/July. Food was great, service was not so great, none of the staff spoke good English and no one was particularly friendly but the decor and food is amazing so I came back a second time about 2 weeks ago. The western girl at the door was extremely helpful and smiley, chatted with me as she walked me to my table, and she even remembered me from the first time I came. I immediately felt welcomed. When I booked the table I never specified where I wanted to be seated, so I was given a table in the Bar, I then asked to be seated in the main dining room, the restaurant was full as it was a Friday night, but the girl at reception managed to find me a table there, so we moved from the bar to the main room. My guests arrived and to my surprise the menu has been expanded and there are now much more options on the menu. The waiter came and she was extremely helpful with helping us decide what dishes and how many we should have, she made some jokes and chit chat with us which made us feel very good. The food all came very fast perhaps a little too fast as we would have liked to enjoy all the starters before the main course came through. We loved the steamed Garoupa and the suckling pig (usually need pre ordering but they seemed to have extra that day). We felt welcomed and looked after from the beginning to the end of the night. I decided to go back again with my family last night and had another great experience.
Madame Fu has come a long way since it has opened, from the poor reservation system and inattentive waiters to a warm welcomes, good service and amazing food. I will surelt become a regular here.
