1. I have always wanted to try out Jouer. Visited some time ago, but didn’t get to try its coffee nor dessert. This is actually an unplanned and unexpected visit, after we failed to try another afternoon tea set nearby in Wan Chai.2. 4. This afternoon tea set comes with two cups of tea or coffee. The tarts, cakes, and macaroons appear to be tiny, but they are surprisingly filling! They are way better than we expected, especially the sweet potato tarts and mushroom pies.

The macaroons aren’t any ordinary macaroons, they are actually fusion macaroons of Sour Plum Soup (purple), Tom Yum Pineapple (light orange), Calamansi Palm Sugar (yellow), Kimchi Pear (red), Wasabi Lime (green) and Sichuan Pickles (dark orange). They might sound weird, but they actually taste really good! Very well-made crunch macaroons with Asian fusion tastes that balance out the sweetness and give your taste buds novel sensation.
