One week before Chinese New Year begins, we planned to go to K11 Musea to have window shopping. In order to dine in, we decided to have an early dinner before continuing our shopping spree. Mr. Ming's Chinese Dining was located at the 1st floor, a popular Chinese cuisine restaurant. They offered a wide range of Chinese cuisine and since it was nearing CNY, we decided to have their CNY set menu, priced at $588 per person, with minimum 2person in order to order. They offered a wide range of Chinese cuisine and since it was nearing CNY, we decided to have their CNY set menu, priced at $588 per person, with minimum 2person in order to order. We chose fortune set meu, consisting of 5 dishes, 2 desserts and fruits.
Fat Choy rolls with salted egg - Fat Choy was coated with salted egg sauce, thus it was very flavourful and crunchy. Crispy rolls contained mini oysters and meat in it and was deep fried till crispy and chewy.
Chiu Chow style braised shark fin soup - It was served hot and black vinegar sauce was provided to enhance the taste. It was thick in texture and appetizing, with generous portion of shark fins in it.
Braised abalone with goose web - Goose web was soft and smooth, juicy as well as it absorbed the essence of the abalone broth. Abalone was chewy and smooth, with the sauce tasty.
Braised radish with yellow croaker fish - Fish was cooked till soft and smooth, able to taste the freshness. Soup was clear and sweet, and radish was cooked till soft and juicy too.
Grilled jinhua ham and bamboo fungus with two vegetables - Jinhua ham was very flavourful and salty, complimenting nicely with those vegetables, which were juicy and fresh. Braised mushroom was chewy and smooth, juicy as well.
Chinese New Year pudding - It was cooked till soft and chewy, not too oily. Egg was cooked together with it. It has slight red date taste in the pudding too.
Gingko and ginger potato glutinous rice balls - Gingko nuts was chewy and rice balls was soft and smooth, with black sesame in it, which was sweet. Soup was sweet and clear as well.
Seasonal fruits - Orange was presented nicely, cut in pieces for us to eat easily. Orange was served cold and was sweet, juicy as well.
