Heard about Thai Thai Grill for a long time. Last week after HH in LKF with my GF, we decided to try this restaurant. Not far away from LKF, but not easy to find esp it is located on the 2/F of a commercial bldg in Li Yuen St East. Larger than what we had expected, the place was nice and romantic. Very quiet and quite different from other Thai restaurants. Good for us. On the wall we found many interesting paintings, simply like a gallery. Larger than what we had expected, the place was nice and romantic. Very quiet and quite different from other Thai restaurants. Good for us. On the wall we found many interesting paintings, simply like a gallery. The waitress said we might feel free to tour around and if interested we could buy some artpieces too. Was I in a Thai restaurant or studio?
We ordered some traditional, authentic Thai dishes like lime soda, chicken satay, prawn cakes, fresh vegetable rice paper roll and soft shell crab, tom yum gong, green curry with chicken, plus mango and sticky rice as dessert.
Lime soda
Chilling and fresh, but a bit too sour and sweet
Chicken Satay + Prawn Cakes + Fresh Vegetable Rice Paper Roll and Soft Shell Crab ($88)
Satay and prawn cakes are ok. I liked paper roll most as its look was very appealing, like sushi, with a fresh taste when it went with the sauce.
Tom Yum Gong ($58)
We shared the soup between us. With a strong taste of lemon grass, not that spicy and I think the taste is just right to us.
Green Curry with Chicken($75)
It was the best dish of the night. The curry is yummy, and even more delicious when it served with Thai roti. Couldn’t stop ordering another round of roti for the green curry! Shouldn’t miss!
Mango and Black and White Sticky Rice ($55)
The mango was fresh and fresh. The taste of this dessert was just same as the ones I had tried in Thai last month.
The bill was less than $350, quite reasonable for 2 persons. Worth recommend!
