Just have an hour before going to my computer class in Apple. So, I popped in the Open Kitchen for a piece of cake and a cup of tea. This cafe which is another line under the Maxims has an edge over other cafes in IFC. First, the prices are lower as compared to the 'fancy' cafes, such as Agnes B ND TWG. Secondly, it has a very stunning harbour view. Thirdly, it has much more choices of food and beverages. Fourthly, the space is more spacious and seats have more privacy as compared to Starbucks,
I picked up a piece of carrot cake, it has a very attractive appearance and seemed to be a healthy one with less amount of cream and butter. The base has carrot, seeds and nuts and topped with a layer of cream. The texture is very soft, yet chewy and dense, just right. Taste is well balanced. I then had a cup of Earl Grey tea, they used Dilmah tea bag and served it in a lovely country-style cup. The tea bag is strong and good quality. Upon my request, they served milk and honey in little jars. The whole tea set was presented in a very decent and pleasant way, which was worth for money.
