Myself and my wife visited the Cheesecake Factory at the Harbour city on the 19th May, the whole dining experience was a disaster! First of all the attitude of the waitress who lead us to the table was so bad and rude, we didn’t like the table she gave us, so I asked her politely to change to another table but she gave us unfriendly look and use a nasty tone to us, which made us felt unwelcome.Then after we sat down for more than 15 mins NOONE asked if we need any drinks or anything, not even of
First of all the attitude of the waitress who lead us to the table was so bad and rude, we didn’t like the table she gave us, so I asked her politely to change to another table but she gave us unfriendly look and use a nasty tone to us, which made us felt unwelcome.
Then after we sat down for more than 15 mins NOONE asked if we need any drinks or anything, not even offer a glass of water for us while I have noticed that all other guest was served with a glass of water right after the guest sat down.
After we placed the food order, dirty knife and paper napkins was provided to us, on the paper napkin there was some wording wrote on it by pen, I was wondering whether it has been used by other people before it was given to us, so I asked for the manager, then a guy Manager A came and I explained to him what had happened and he didn’t even bother, without apologise but just took the paper napkin and the dirty knife away without replacing with a clean one, pretended nothing had happened, I was really shocked.
Next the bread came after our food was served which was weird, and the main course takes forever until I chased the waitress many times for it. The funniest part was when I want to get Ka Him’s name to make a complain about him, the waitress sent me another guy(Manager B)who claimed that he is also a manager, I didn’t catch his name also, I asked him who’s in charge of the restaurant, he said there are 5 managers in the restaurant and they are all on the same level and there’s no one really in charge of the restaurant , and there’s nothing he can do and I thought that was so unbelievable. After 15mins a Manager C showed up and claimed that he is the senior manager of the restaurant.
The management in this restaurant was a total chaos, first this Manager A don’t even know the meaning of SERVICE and doesn’t know what he was doing when handling an complain, then the other manager(Manager B) said that there’s no one in charge, not long after Manager C said he is in charge, just totally confusing.
Oscar said it is the company policy not to provide guest with water but I don’t know why all other tables were served with glasses of water right after the guest sat down, and he mentioned that the bread need time to bake, but we are the only table which the bread served after the food and it was COLD, so I’m sure it wasn’t just came out from the oven, but he have no excuse about the dirty knife and the used napkin which we were given.
The management of this branch is absolutely unbelievable, I have dined in the Cheesescake Factory at Dubai a few years back, which I had a great experience that’s why when I found out your restaurant opened in Hong Kong I was really looking forward to dine there but it turned out to be a nightmare, so think twice before you dine!!!
There are plenty of restaurants out there with better food and service!
