I've never heard of this restaurant before and we didn't know what to expect. It turns out that this restaurant specializes in grilled seafood.
一到達看見光鮮的門面和頗為高雅的格局,心想這裡像壽司處或割烹多於居酒屋,有點擔心需不需要正襟危座和放低聲線,但既然來到便進去吧。
幸好,一進內看見頗多客人,燈光柔和,氣氛輕鬆愉快。我們被安排坐在開放式的露台旁邊,可以俯瞰諾士佛臺的人群。這邊空氣亦較流通(室內略嫌有點燒貝殼的味道)。
The interior design looked pretty modern and chic. There was a large open air balcony area. You could just sit there and watch the world go by.
我看見二人前的套餐看似非常抵吃,五百元不到便有兩隻鮑魚,帶子,蠔,鱈場蟹和一隻車海老於是二話不說便點了。原來這套餐更有一小枝「辛丹波」和蟹甲羅送!非常抵。
They do sushi, Yakitori and some fried food but it seems that their signature was "hamayaki" (grilled seafood). The set for two, consists of 2 abalone, scallops, oysters, taraba crab and one big kuruma ebi prawn was for less than $500. On top of that, customers would get a free bottle of sake and crab miso! Excellent value for money.
Negitoro maki: pretty good. The ingredients were pretty fresh. Not outstanding but decent.
The fried oysters were excellent. The batter reminded me of tempura rather than breadcrumbs. The oysters had really good umami. Definitely one of the best that I've had before.
Then came the hamayaki set, which was definitely the highlight of the night. The abalone were still moving when they arrived. Suffice to say that we were very happy with all the seafood. I was even happier to know that the staff grilled the food for us.
燒蠔海水味濃郁,亦很新鮮。
鱈場蟹只需小許清酒,便能引出蟹肉的鮮甜味。蟹身和蟹腳,有專業器具幫忙,雕花拆蟹無難度。
蟹甲羅內有大量的蟹膏,混上鵪鶉蛋燒熟後再塗麵包,鮮味不錯但「漁獲」更好。但啖啖蟹膏,與辛口淡麗的清酒挺配。
Crab miso mixed with quail egg. Admittedly, the umami was not as strong as those that I've had at "Tore Tore" but there were more crab miso here.
酒餚選擇不多,我們點了炸河蝦來送往。香口之餘又不過油,很適合送酒。

The bill came down about $500 per head (inclusive of drinks and service charge). The food was good and the service was good.
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard my favorite J-rock band Lunasea being played as background music!
Highly recommended.
