Sabatini is one of the Italian restaurants that has a long history in HK, with more than 30 years of experience, operating at The Royal Garden. In 2023 they opened another outlet in HK side, in IFC Mall at Central. Today we went there to see whether there is any difference vs. what we experienced in TST.Seated comfortably at a table in the middle of the dining room, facing the full-length windows, with the gorgeous harbour view as the backdrop, the restaurant is neatly designed, with arched ceilings, dome walls and brick floors all combined to create a classy and comfortable vibe.As we were in the white truffle season, we decided to go for the Seasonal Tasting Menu ($2,288 each). Starting with Amuse Bouche, which is a mini tart with beef tartar, plus shaved white truffle on top. The chopped beef tartar was seasoned well, having some capers to give a bit of acidity, with the aromatic truffle integrated into the flavours.Next came Pink Prawn Salad. The prawn had been minced to a delicious gooey paste, where the tartar is served with prized Oscietra caviar and smoked oil, adding umami and a touch of woody fragrance. Together with salad vegetables scattered on top, it is of wonderful taste, a complete and fantastic starter.Then it was Slow Cook Egg, which is one of the most iconic ways to enjoy white truffles. The poached egg was placed in the middle, surrounded by porcini mushroom, as well as a sauce made from Parmesan cheese. The Alba white truffles were shaved on tableside, with a fantastic nose that insert its presence but not over-powering the other ingredients.Next was Boston Lobster Bisque. Very rich and flavourful, the soup was served nicely hot. Apart from the lobster meat, which was firm and sweet in taste, there were some croutons to add texture to the soup. The complex and intense flavours was phenomenal. Another must-try.Continuing the white truffle specialty dishes, another signature to feature the prized delicacy is pasta. The Homemade Tagliolini with Alba white truffle delivered its promise, perfect al dente in texture, and the pasta was able to carry the sauce and the amazing truffle taste so well I would like to order another one straight away.The main course was Veal Loin served with morels, parsnip puree and veal jus, plus white truffles. The veal was very tender, beautifully seasoned, with the portion just right to be filling but not too much. The rich flavours of the jus enhanced the enjoyment, with the puree creamy and tasty. The truffle was the icing on the cake.Dessert was Alba White Truffle Ice-Cream. An interesting ice-cream which had distinguished white truffle flavours but did not feel awkward in taste, having good sweetness level but not excessive, and the crumbs at the bottom provided extra layer of texture and delights.The Homemade Petits Fours included Almond Biscuits with Jam, Compote Jelly, and Chocolate Mousse on mini taco. All nice small bites to pair with the delicious, fragrant coffee. The menu also included coffee or tea, and with a cup of double espresso the meal finished on a high note.The bill on the night was $5,144. Service is good, but the staff did not spend time introducing the dishes or ingredients and even did not talk about this year’s white truffles. Considering this is a special menu apparently it is a big miss. Food quality is good though and continue to live up to the Sabatini reputation.查看更多

Live band with female singer taking song dedications.Comprehensive wine list. Went for a glass of Burgundy red.Decided to go a la carte instead of the Set menu.Here’s what we had. Excellent bread basket- loved the bread sticks. Delicate slices of Scampi carpaccio accompanied by refreshing celery, vibrant green apple, and the indulgent touch of golden caviar.Paper-thin slices of prime beef carpaccio arranged meticulously, with a rich and buttery texture, drizzled with a delicate dressing.Creamy buffalo mozzarella with fresh ripe tomatoes and Parma ham: a classic combination of simplicity and quality ingredients.Homemade ravioli filled with luscious Alaskan king crab meat, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and basil: each delicate parcel was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.Perfectly cooked Linguine with plump scampi, succulent clams and tender mussels: highlight of the evening. Flavors were enhanced by a sauce that was rich yet balanced.Charcoal grilled lamb chops infused with the aromatic notes of thyme and lemon. On the side: seasonal vegetables and potato mille-feuille. First let me say that the food was very good, with no issues there, and typical of Sabatini. This was our first visit to this location, however, and while we were waiting for our friends to arrive I ordered a bottle of wine. However, when the waitstaff brought the bottle, my wife pointed out that if I ordered the degustation menu there was a 20% discount on a special selection of wines, and after looking at that menu I told the waitstaff that I would order that menu and thus ordered a different bottle of wine for the discount. Long story a bit shorter, after the bottle was brought and opened and we all began ordering dinner, I ordered the degustation menu, only to be told at that time that the entire table had to order that, even though it does NOT say that on the menu and the waitstaff did NOT inform me when I changed my wine order. So I told the waitstaff that I still expected the 20% discount as I was not informed nor did it say so on the menu. I was flatly refused, and in fact, from that time forward the service was essentially non-existent with almost no attention paid to our table.When I asked for the check, I saw that they charged full price for the wine and asked to speak with the manager. The waitstaff told me that the manager had already instructed him to tell me no discount. On the way out I stopped and spoke to the manager with the waitstaff standing right there and the manager denied even knowing anything about my request. Once he heard the story all he could say was "sorry", "you are right" and "I'll try to fix the situation", but even then didn't give me the courtesy of the discount, which compared to the overall size of the check was insignificant. I told him I would never return, nor would my friends. His attitude? So what?I realize this is a real "first-world problem", but it's still the principle, isn't it?  He's lucky he didn't work for me as I would have fired him on the spot. So if you crave Sabatini, go to TST, avoid this place like the plague.查看更多

I have been to the TST Sabatini a few times and it’s my first time going the IFC one today but it was such a bad experience, to conclude a few issues here: 1. Fewer choices of food. Sadly, they didn’t refill the melon and ham when these are finished in the first hour. As opposite to the TST branch with unlimited availability. I wanted to have a melon at the end but it was such a bad experience that they let it empty. It is just like a cheap restaurant. 2. We went there with a 22 months old, and from my experience, any child below 3 should be free of charge as they don’t really eat much. I also called to confirm with the IFC one and they told me the same when I booked. Well, when I checked the bill, the waiter arrogantly told me,” sir, baby should be charged and we expect you to order a main menu dish for him, but we offer you for free today.” What the hell, I don’t expect at all such an impolite and bad experience. How can a baby less than 2 year old eat a main dish ? Should I feel thankful for them? It is just hilarious. 3. In general, the TST waiters are so much more professional than the IFC one. For examples, they never asked and offered mustard as they serve steak. There were plenty of choices in the TST one! To conclude, such a bad experience and you won’t find the true Italian vibe and service there. Do not expect it in the IFC one. I regretted to go the IFC one very much. I would never visit this one again. if you want the authentic sabatini experience, visit the original TST one, never the IFC one, trust me.查看更多

Totally agreed with you, the lamb was less tasty and crispy (used to ask the chef make it crispy when ordering), bread also worser which I had told the waiter when he asked for our comment. He totally objected and said it’s impossible as everything in ifc was the same as in royal garden.

Whats the point of asking customer? Was I only allowed to reply with his model answer? I agree that the environment of Sabatini in IFC was grand and picturesque but the exotic and warm atmosphere plus super friendly hospitality in Royal Garden was way more enjoyable

Sabatini 意大利餐自從ifc 開分店後 我同老細嚟食過午餐 算幾抵^ 。今次我就約咗女友嚟食 brunch, 朋友一入餐廳立刻讚賞,我搵咗一間咁靚觀景嘅地方。意大利頭盤任你揀 龍蝦 長蟹腳⋯ 同薄牛仔肉.. 我最愛 食不停,女友們就喜歡Chef 即做嘅黑松露炒蛋同牛肉他他多士 。見到佢哋主廚Chef Marco 🤩 出出入入為客人刨黑松露(要加錢😆)年青高大幾吸睛😂😂 呢個無敵維多利亞港盡入眼簾,佢哋嘅甜品, st honour, tiramisu, napoleon, cheese cake … 一向係難於抗拒所以大家一路食一路傾偈, 不經不覺講到三點多才離開。非常滿意😚查看更多

我朋友食飯,想試吓這間新餐廳。打開Menu收嘅,係fine dining 價錢,但食物和服務都未能達到水準。1,麵包凉一般水準2,二合一的透明樽內的橄欖油和酸醋,只放在枱面上self service。高級意大利餐一定會用上深色樽裝橄欖油防止氧化。失望。3,叫了兩碟antipasto,一碟意粉和牛面肉sharing。每人各自一碗龍蝦湯。每一碟食物portion都係好少,食物水準一般。加上一支意大利酒$800。掛住傾偈有啲食物唔記得影相。人均要大概$2000。不值得。4,沒有叫甜品,因為甜品車內的甜點不吸引。最後飲了咖啡而已。絕對唔值得去查看更多

餐廳環境很不錯、 可以看到海景,牛扒不錯但其他食物方面⋯ 1、 麵包是涼的:雖然是上檯後大約5分鐘才開始食, 但沒有一塊麵包有絲毫的暖, grissini更是有點不夠新鮮的韌;2、頭盤的burrata也偏凍, 不是室溫, 影響了賣相和口感; 3、牛扒的配菜全部都是極微溫, 拿到自己的碟上放一陣就完全涼了, 除了薯塊 broccolinli 和紅蘿蔔覺得沒有調味; 4、甜品車可以用pathetic來形容,全部是小小杯的這些那些、 連一個稍有儀式感的糕點也沒有, tiramisu 在大大的玻璃盤剩下一點點塌塌的,連甜品控也沒有食慾。服務也有問題⋯1、來了wine list 沒有人來問吓是否要介紹。單杯的酒 來了酒直接倒, 雖然份量給得很足, 但沒有機會讓客人先嚐嚐是否自己喜歡的味道; 2、牛扒配菜上了三盤但夾菜的叉和spoon要問才拿過來;3、牛扒上了也要我們問才拿salt and pepper ⋯這頓飯已經是2星期前, 當晚因為和朋友吃飯, 不想破壞氣氛, 所以無現場提出, 後來和朋友聊起, 原來大家感覺差不多, 而且不斷聽到其他朋友話想去試才決定寫食評以免其他人中伏。食物和服務實在不值$2000+ /人,不會推薦!查看更多

Staff service excellent. Good ambience and excellent harbourview. But food quality quite disappointing - mushroom risotto too salty and pan-fried dover sole really salty and texture is not what we expect. Overall, food quality way below the standard in Sabatini TST. What makes our dinner worse is there’s a small fly visiting our dishes during our dinner. Prefer Sabatini TST more.
