Pop Bites (已結業)

This is a great space - nicely done with a good feel, however the meal we had was not so great.Presentation of food was good, but I thought the taste (especially the risotto) lacked real flavor. The Pizza we shared was ok and the entree was so-so. Also it took forever (over an hour) to get all our dishes, even when the place was not busy at all. The worst part was the desert, which tasted like it had been refrigerated for a few days and was just awful. It was pretty expensive for the meal -

卑利街的廿八號意菜午餐後，與另有事忙的部分甜魔告別後，餘下一行4人再到奧卑利街的Pop Bites(PB)吃下場甜品。其實兩街的中文名幾易混淆，建議以英文街名Peel / Bailey's分別之，PB身處是Bailey's Street! 幫襯過的食客會知道，PB是間非常富藝術感的Cafe，其招牌已不太易解讀，而店內環境更是有如藝術家工作室，十分的自成一格、與別不同。文字難以具體形容，大家看看照片就會明白。是日一行4人，選了油畫地區坐下，昏黃燈光下，四周都是不同的畫作，奉上的menu又是hand-made而成，每一細節位也為人帶來驚喜。　焦點回到食物，大家目標十分明確---衝著甜品來，很可惜此店甜品師傅正開始放大假（據聞9月底才會歸來），甜品櫃中僅得5款選擇.... 而且大家對芒果布甸及sorbet並不感興趣，結果只點了dessert tea set($58)x2，一起分享品嚐了：　Cappuccino-泡沫豐厚，啡香甘醇，彌補了Via 28的咖啡缺欠。　Mocha-有著較重的朱古力味，飲著有香甜幸福感受，幾喜歡的。　70% truffle cake-蛋糕以truffle為主體，餅底

果日11點去到冇人, 有個男仔serve我,媽咪同我兩個家姐. service超好, 我之前黎過三次都係一嗰女仔serve, 佢態度十分差, 係就咁第碟野比你, 仲要黑口黑面, 相反呢次嗰男仔好好, 專登儸張枱俾我哋擺袋, 又好好禮貌, 問儸多啲奶佢仲好好笑容話無問題.我次次都係叫all day breakfast 嘅cereal 餐, 因為我好鍾意食granola, 不過唔係幾抵, 因為我買一大包到只係50蚊, 但一個餐都會$65. 不過我太鍾意granola, 所以無所謂由於嗰日係sunday, 有scone 同toast 任儸, scone好味好推介pop bites, 不過sunday仲抵

是日同朋友食lunch, 星期六既中環, 好多食肆都唔開門, 原本想食既餐廳都唔例外. 就係咁打亂左我地原有既plan一路肚餓一路搵野食真係好苦. 突然諗不如食all day breakfast, 但我又唔記得邊條街只記得一路上山上到冇力, 就見到flying pan啦. 但入面勁full. 退而求其次, 隔離兩間都有得食. 所以就入左哩間入到黎坐低都2點幾. 適逢佢有tea set, 於是兩人叫左一個地中海pizza tea set 同埋egg benedict要左杯apple juice, 睇落好細杯, 飲落好大杯. 果汁先生味.只係睇個名同配料真係好難想像個egg benedict 原來係咁. 法包上放上d唔知咩菜加d sauce , 好似salad 咁. 上面加ham 同有黃蛋.上到黎先知. 我本身唔太鍾意食法包. 原來即係baguette. 真係愚昧. 好在個包還有點脆. 不至令我失望蛋好水汪汪, d 蛋白都係, 煎得唔老, 所以都係廊廊下咁. 食得好論盡.d 菜就有d 生芽菜咁既味, 味道有點怪, 但可接受, 食慣左冇事了.pizza tea set 所以較細個, 但都幾足

nice cozy place that worths the value. but the service from the waitres is terrible. excellent desserts and pasta too. but again, they should better train the waitress and she has no clue about the menu at all.

Came here for brunch on weekend, the place was quite full even at 2pm. I really liked the chill out atmosphere but somehow the interior design just didn't flow very well collectively as was the same for the way overdecorated menu. We had coffee, grilled ham/onion/cheese sandwich with salad and a carbonara with prawn. The grilled sandwich was very good, think the toasted bread was super yum! 終於都有時間為5月份的生日飯局打篇寫評~這是我第二次光臨Pop Bites, 第一次是朋友為我送上的一頓慶祝午餐, 味道一試難忘, 今次難得另一位好友生日, 為用餐地點傷腦筋之際想起Pop Bites, 味道保持水準, 當天食物如下:凱撒沙津 - 不愛吃"草"的愛都因為那調味添食蜜味雞翼 - "買飛佛"卡邦那長通粉 - 很好, 不過口講不停放涼了, 但味道也很好巴馬火腿薄餅 - 沒有令人失望, 有機會會再order另cooktail x 3 (此了名稱, 其中2杯荔枝味, 一杯Kiwi味道, 都不錯)當然少不了甜品 x 3 (除了古力迷必試70%朱力蛋糕, 是次還有榛果蛋糕(好好味)及雜莓撻(相比下較遜色)由於是平日晚上, 而Pop Bites位置可能較不方便, 所以都不是全店滿座, 但同時又令服務更足和更適合談天說地, 是個十分不錯的選擇^^

Having a long holiday, I decide to have a cozy brunch in SOHO.As my friend and I have no pacticular targets, we just walk around and randomly choose one.When we walk up the stairs, we are attracted to a beautifully decored cafe. It has been more than a year since I last visited Pop Bites. It always gives me the "Laid Back"& Quiet feeling. 今晚與一班曾經一同出生入死的老友，相約在中環吃晚飯，由其中一位友人介紹到「Pop Bites」，因為據聞此店的甜品造得不錯。八時左右到達，店內沒有其他客人，在較深的位置坐下，裝飾擺設有品味環境幽暗，又是大光圈鏡頭發揮其功效的時間。店員介紹在晚上九時前有特價飲品，最後四位同時點了Sangria($38.00)，由於要留肚吃甜品，沙律方面點了Roasted Corn & Potato Salad($48.00)，而主菜則點了三款，分別是Baby Back Ribs($148.00)、Sundries Tomato Angel Hair($78.00)、Carbonara with Smoked Bacon Penne($78.00)。當然先來飲品山卡啦(Sangria)，用紅酒加入果汁及生果碎粒，然後再加冰。紅酒味已沖得淡淡，不過果汁味又不太濃，有點像加了水的紅酒，不及想像中好。沙律的Roasted Corn & Potato Salad份量不少，亦全屬新鮮之選，薯仔的軟硬度烚得剛好，輕輕的沙律醬汁，令到不會蓋過蔬菜的原始味道。三款主菜先送來的是Baby Back Ribs，內容有燒豬仔骨

星期一晚十點幾先搵野食. 近近地黎左呢度. 門口細細但入到去發覺都幾大. 裝修幾正. 牆身幾個mon+微波爐好似左太空倉… anyways, 似吧多過似餐廳. 但整體感覺舒服. 膠凳坐位, 不太舒服. 選擇幾多. 意粉, sandwich, 同好似幾多蛋糕揀. 星期六日公眾假期仲有all day breakfast. Mushroom Lasagna: 幾大碟. 好正. 勁多cheese. Lasagna剛剛好. 有咬口. Mushroom多食落感覺上冇甘滯. Parma Ham Melt: 有d失望. Dark Rye Bread上面好多grill cheese. 可惜個toast過火, 變得太硬. Parma Ham 好多, 但連埋sundried tomato+ onion就太咸. Side的Green Salad OK. 另外加左杯可樂.總結: 介乎笑面同OK中. 環境真係唔錯. 好似其他人甘講, 係一個幾好hea 既地方. Lasagna好好味. 但個grill cheese sandwich有待改善.

係SOHO食完飯，意猶未盡，想搵下場繼續吹水先叫左杯Bailey....ok 多冰，好似溝淡左咁再叫左幾壺茶大家share....有mint, 花茶等等，都係twinings，無乜特別，好在俾埋蜜糖你自己落同會主動加水環境係OK既，可以HEA幾個鐘咁....見D CAKE幾靚，下次可以試埋D CAKE

大雨到不得了...本來想去Coffee Assembly, 但太大雨, 所以o黎左呢度.下午茶時間, 幾乎零人.環境不錯, 適合傾計, 不適合看書上網, 因燈太暗睇到眼都濛...是日下午茶試了:1/ Sandwich - Salmon + Lettuce 2/ Chocolate Mint 兩款都好得, 食完sandwich, 晚上真的不用吃飯, 飽到暈!但中環真的有太多選擇, 下次可試試其他店舖.還有, waitress 真的沒什麼笑容, 問一答一, 問二答二, 沒有其他...以 coffee shop 的waitress黎計, 真的冷漠左o的...
