Went with colleagues for a farewell lunch.With a party of 7 they recommended us to share their Mezz (Tapas style) dishes at different prices ( with a combo list of 1 for $78, 3 for $2xx........14 for $888 etc.) So we went for 11 mezzes at $738. As the dishes arrived we figured we needed more so I told the South Asian Manager we would like to add 3 more mezzes so it would add up to the 14 combo.Food was good, service was standard.Then the bill came- I had a glance and realised they have charged

Went with colleagues for a farewell lunch.

With a party of 7 they recommended us to share their Mezz (Tapas style) dishes at different prices ( with a combo list of 1 for $78, 3 for $2xx........14 for $888 etc.) So we went for 11 mezzes at $738.

As the dishes arrived we figured we needed more so I told the South Asian Manager we would like to add 3 more mezzes so it would add up to the 14 combo.

Food was good, service was standard.

Then the bill came- I had a glance and realised they have charged us seperately for 11 mezzes and 3 mezzes making it nearly $200 more expensive. When we told the manager they claimed that we ordered at different times hence it has to be charged seperately even though it was one meal under one bill.

He also came up with a rediculous excuse that it is not possible to change the bill once it is inputted into the system.
I demanded a new bill ( which took a min) which he then had to do unwillingly with rude looks, came back and told us as if it was a favour that they can't do this next time. But i'm sorry, there won't be a next time.

It is just very cheeky and dishonest with what they did and the way they dealt with it.

I agree with the comment below, it's a shame because the food was good. And yes, we definitely will NOT return.

We were welcomed to this restaurant with a black face and when we wanted to add one additional person, we were greeted with an even blacker face. Halfway through the meal, the manager (presumably) pushes my chair in saying that it is hard to walk through. We waited for nearly 30 minutes for the main course to arrive. We eat out alot but this place takes the biscuit in terms of service. We won't be going back there. There are too many restaurants in Hong Kong. Its one saving grace was that

我對中東菜都無咩感覺,同事約好午餐去試食咪試下啦。華!$145 set lunch都唔平,不過好多款間,幾個人樣樣間d,感覺幾好。頭盤:春卷豆蓉、毛豆墨魚、炸豆球好多豆品,不過分不清種類,味道唔錯,d野用olive oil好健康,春卷香口yummy。主菜:燒雞,薯蓉燒牛肉燒雞唔乾,牛肉鮮味總之言,健康、味道清新,而又好味。會encore。

另外Vegetarian moussaka with a pumpkin salad, 似lasagne,面的cheese 幾好味,下層的菜豆蓉就麻麻地..
一個main course 賣廿百幾,份量係fair..

本來食野都ok,可惜,賣單時個waitress無俾discount,直接落$6xx,問佢佢話citibank card 先有main course 的優惠.. 諗住同原本個waiter check, 又唔見左.
最後,另一個waiter 過黎,同佢講無左個優惠,佢就粒聲唔出咁走去開過張單,cancel左平d的main course dish... 唔友善咁等我地走..


好明顯佢係有心誤導客人,今次係第一次o係soho有d咁o既service..

用餐日期...已忘了...那晚, 不想"番桌"去過的餐廳, 所以來了這裡 ~結果, 不過不失吧...就是由於這麼的不過不失, 所以我們吃完主菜以後,也提不起勁吃這裡的甜品了 ~對於我們來說, 不吃甜品是"未completed"的, 但我們卻少有地不點甜品 ~

每次來olive, 一定要叫佢既春卷 (一條長長既春卷)點了佢既既sauce, 好香口,新鮮熱辣唔油. 不過得幾條真係有點唔夠喉.是次我叫了1. 春卷 - 必叫2. grilled salmon - 好肥美呀, 跟rocket salad一起食, 味道好夾及無甘膩.3. greek salad - 好新鮮既菜, 所以一定好食啦.3. kebab - 味道ok, kebab皮唔係太乾, 食得好開心呀, 最怕有點店做得太乾or比我食到d粉.4. 串燒雞 - 必叫, 雞肉帶點特別既香料味道, 其間佢地會比一些像豆醬既東西我地點, 味道好得意.

我們每月都會到中環soho區晚膳, 普遍水準及服務都不俗. 昨晚到soho區選擇了這間希臘餐廳, 主要是從未試過此地區菜及見有銀行推廣主菜買一送一, 所以我們亦沒理會站在門口拉客的waitress是如何黑面, 就決定在此晚飯. 晚上7:45, 只得2枱客人, 我們要求坐得寬敞些, 要求一張4人枱, 但黑面waitress以英文回應己有訂枱, 只能安排坐一張非常狹窄的2人枱, 我們要求將兩張2人枱合併, 她郤說如我們order的食物多才會做. 我們亦沒有理會, 己經將外套及手袋放在隔鄰的椅子上.當晚order了兩個主菜 : 3成熟的肉眼扒及脆皮兔脾及兩杯紅酒, 肉類的獻汁好有特色, 有別於一般西餐, 但肉的質地郤非常非常非常差, 10安士的肉眼扒有9安士是無法咀嚼的, 只能無奈地將全部渣滓吐出來, 兔肉亦沒有味道, 乾乾的, 一點肉汁亦沒有. 但伴碟的清湯郤美味可口. 紅酒不過不失, 以價而論, 亦可接受. 最重要一點是整間餐廳沒有開冷氣, 待差不多8:30pm時多3枱客人才覺得有開冷氣. 每枱有麵包碟郤沒有供應. 完成用餐後要用很長時間去清理牙縫間的渣滓. 黑面waitress負

是次消費, 因主菜買一送一, 共化了$345 (包括$3tips)
紅酒$68+ $55, 肉眼扒 $188 + 加一服務費

My love brought me to Olive on a Sat afternoon. I do not really used to hang around the area at that time. We have set lunch - Greek salad, Kebab and Lamb chop. Very wise choice... even I dunno what exactly is in the salad. Yet the ingredients match well with one another as well as the sauceMy lamb kebab with mint. Actually I hate mint, I only accept mint when it comes to lamb. Besides the good match, the pita is very good indeed! It is warm, soft and tender, cant compare the snack shop outside

My lamb kebab with mint. Actually I hate mint, I only accept mint when it comes to lamb. Besides the good match, the pita is very good indeed! It is warm, soft and tender, cant compare the snack shop outside (even i also like their kebab)

However, the lamb chop is even better, I think they have added some crunchy stuff on the fillet, it's like having a fried crust! Yet it is a bit over-looked ...

Even it is a lunch set, the portion is quite big and packed your stomach.

There is one thing to take caution: refill of drinks. The waiter is kind asking if we want to refill our drink ... sure we want ... and it turns out that the refill requires extra charge. So better ask them first, the service is ok, no hesitation to ask.

My husband and I tried Olive on Monday (9th Dec 2008).The service was poor from the beginning with a very unresponsive front of house. Despite the restaurant being quite empty, the staff crammed all tables with guests right at the front of the restaurant so it looked busy from the street front. The tables are too close together as well, with no more than one foot or so between the tables, so it's actually unpleasantly close to other diners. There is absolutely no privacy so it is not the plac

My husband and I tried Olive on Monday (9th Dec 2008).

The service was poor from the beginning with a very unresponsive front of house. Despite the restaurant being quite empty, the staff crammed all tables with guests right at the front of the restaurant so it looked busy from the street front. The tables are too close together as well, with no more than one foot or so between the tables, so it's actually unpleasantly close to other diners. There is absolutely no privacy so it is not the place for an intimate meal.

Once we were seated, we were handed the menus...upside down, which shows completely lack of thought. Service was very slow and unresponsive despite the restaurant being comparatively empty.

After we had ordered, we noticed a cockroach casually scatter about under the dish cabinet. We informed the waitress serving us but she couldn't be bothered to even look for it.

A few minutes later, just as our food had arrived, the lady at the table next to us then jumped quite suddenly as a cockroached had crawled up her leg. She flicked the roach on to the floor, which then ran off. Again, my husband told the waiting staff but similarly, they did not bother to do anything about it.

Then during our main course, my husband also flinched as a cockroach tried to run up his leg. As he flicked the cockroach off onto the floor, an incoming guest managed to stamp on the cockroach and killed it, but again, the staff were completely disinterested and it took them several minutes to bring a broom and dustpan to clear it.

Needless to say, we lost our appetite and quickly left. In keeping with the poor service, there was not one apology or any effort to reduce our bill due in the light of the horrors we had to endure.

Dreadful restaurant. Avoid like the plague.
Seriously, the local environmental services/restaurant hygiene dept needs to look into this place before it makes someone ill (if it has not done so already).

材料更是值得一讚,洋蔥碎,蝦肉,蜆肉,雞心豆,合起來原來也可以做好朋友,每呷一口湯也吃到不同的鮮味,我想這碗湯的材料比上次在翰騰閣那個所謂冬瓜盎的還要豐富嚕,推介推介!

記得小時候去潮江春最愛吃的便是這種專門作伴菜的炸葉子!
翻開它們始聞到和感到那塊肥美豐腴的三文魚,是剛剛烤至半熟上桌的,三文魚油之香實在是無別的魚能取代的
用叉子輕輕的敲下魚肉,哇,是卜卜脆而內裡卻是嫩滑得過份
既然是穩重又是好貨源的三文魚,味道當然不會差得去哪;令我驚訝的是廚師的烹飪技術!因為我也"叫做"煎過不下十次三文魚,就是屢戰屢敗也不死心,好.難.煎.!!
這裡做得確是超水準,比上次在洲際的更出色,實在回味無窮
那堆豆豆(被我挑走了所有OLIVES :X)看似平凡,但配合YOGURT來吃,又是另一番滋味,不知不覺也吃光了
環境好,座位和桌子也寬敞舒適,傾偈好地方
服務更好,和中東藉店長(我猜是
)談談天,很友善,服務員也殷勤有禮
埋單連加一$170,不便宜.但,想到酸酸MAYMAY又惹味的菜,便會想到這裡,值得再來

had dinner there once with a frd. i had chicken kebab and rice, and it was very delicious. the price is reasonable, every Mon ( i think?) there is a discount of 2 disches for 1 price. i would go there again. however, the service is not too good. the waiters are arabs and they didn't talk to me but only talked to my frd maybe becoz he was the one paying the bill...

had a casual lunch here.good price for quality of food. $138 for 2 coursessalad was extremely fresh, and the appetizer was above my expectation.main course was cooked perfectly.never would i expect to experience such high quality mediterranean food in hk. would definitely go back again!

些蜜糖,是吃慣的意式沙律及西日式沙律外,另一種吃得幾健康稱心的沙律前菜。而falafel是改良版的中東炸丸子,炸丸子用蛋漿包著雞心豆蓉來炸,外面炸得過分焦,可幸仍吃得著鬆軟的豆蓉,撈埋乳酪及中東芝麻醬來吃,幾開胃的,不客吃地吃了兩大粒;中間的位放置了堆砌得靚靚仔仔的果仁碎與番茜,精妙處是沒有將大量香料炒埋一碟,簡單的番西香與嚼口十足的果仁粒加埋,效果出奇的好。主菜花了四十五分鐘炮製,侍應若醒目點,在落單時通知聲的話,感覺會好一些(服務扣分)。焗三文魚以荷葉包著,低下是薯蓉及雜菜海鮮湯,未嚐已傳來陣陣濃郁湯味,真夠看頭。厚切的三文魚已去皮,入口仍帶著煎過的油甘味,能做到外香內嫩的效果,魚肉質素高外,大廚的手勢也真不賴,在日漸少吃三文魚的情況下,也罕有的將大件三文吃個精光。伴碟的薯蓉打得不錯,夠軟滑之餘亦吸收了湯汁的味道,帶著微微的薯香,已很夠沒吃過如此滋味的澱粉質美食。另一味lamb lion上了粉漿焗,外面蘸著香草及蜜糖,分量不算多,肉質幼嫩而帶著微微孜然與小茴的香味,去了肥脂的關係,也吃不到羶味,也不介意沒羶的羊,畢竟羊的各部分有著不同的吃法,此品能做到以香料引發出羊肉味道,是意想不

而falafel是改良版的中東炸丸子,炸丸子用蛋漿包著雞心豆蓉來炸,外面炸得過分焦,可幸仍吃得著鬆軟的豆蓉,撈埋乳酪及中東芝麻醬來吃,幾開胃的,不客吃地吃了兩大粒;中間的位放置了堆砌得靚靚仔仔的果仁碎與番茜,精妙處是沒有將大量香料炒埋一碟,簡單的番西香與嚼口十足的果仁粒加埋,效果出奇的好。

主菜花了四十五分鐘炮製,侍應若醒目點,在落單時通知聲的話,感覺會好一些(服務扣分)。焗三文魚以荷葉包著,低下是薯蓉及雜菜海鮮湯,未嚐已傳來陣陣濃郁湯味,真夠看頭。

厚切的三文魚已去皮,入口仍帶著煎過的油甘味,能做到外香內嫩的效果,魚肉質素高外,大廚的手勢也真不賴,在日漸少吃三文魚的情況下,也罕有的將大件三文吃個精光。伴碟的薯蓉打得不錯,夠軟滑之餘亦吸收了湯汁的味道,帶著微微的薯香,已很夠沒吃過如此滋味的澱粉質美食。

另一味lamb lion上了粉漿焗,外面蘸著香草及蜜糖,分量不算多,肉質幼嫩而帶著微微孜然與小茴的香味,去了肥脂的關係,也吃不到羶味,也不介意沒羶的羊,畢竟羊的各部分有著不同的吃法,此品能做到以香料引發出羊肉味道,是意想不到的好。

閒談了兩小時,吃得甚是稱心,笑言大家quota有限,也想吃得精緻一點,以香料的性質誘發食物的風味,價錢雖然不平,但物有所值。

A+A1.三文魚肉做到外焦內嫩的質感,魚肉中芯心呈現出僅熟的色澤,拍得住酒店水準。

B.肉質幼嫩而不帶羶味,上了些蜜糖來焗,加上香料發揮出羊肉層次感,也是水準之作。

C.是日較為失色的falafel,炸得過,size也較正常的大粒,反而乳酪與tahini sauce的組合感覺不錯。

D.中東風味的沙律,下了不少番茜與橄欖油,雖然齋,但勝在有香料與蜜糖味道搭救。

Unfortunately, this is an unforgettably bad experience..

Went with 3 friends last night to Olive at Soho, in search of some Greek cuisine. This restaurant purportedly serves "greek and mediterranean food" but I was disappointed to find that the menu barely had any Greek selection at all.

The food quality was actually acceptable - I ordered a rare seared tuna mezza and the chicken kebabs + pilaf.

However, our highlight of the evening was definitely the service. Our waiter accidentally dropped a piece of chicken on our table while removing the meat from the skewer - to our shock and disgust - he actually picked it up and put it back on my friend's plate. We looked on in horror and when the waiter came back - we requested that he replace the chicken with a clean one. He looked at us reluctantly and unapologetically and mumbled "i'll try..."..

The other waitress that served us was visibly ill from a cold and was coughing and sniffling while she served us.... gross..

The service, at best, was comparable to a cha-chahn teng. Definitely unacceptable for this price range in my opinion!

2 of us came here to for dinner. We ordered the salmon as appetizer to share, and then ordered the snapper with couscous and chargrilled rib eye. The salmon was ok, though both of us wondered whether it was supposed to be a cold or hot appetizer as the food was kind of at lukewarm temperature.The 2 main courses were better. The steak was cooked nicely and very juicy and tender. The fish had a very smooth texture and tasted excellent. The couscous, however, was a little disappointed as it wa

The 2 main courses were better. The steak was cooked nicely and very juicy and tender. The fish had a very smooth texture and tasted excellent. The couscous, however, was a little disappointed as it wasn't hot enough and a little too wet for my taste.

We lastly ordered the Middle East tiramisu which was pretty nice.

The dinner was worth it, particularly since Citibank Platinum visa card had a Buy One Get One Free (main course) every Tue and Wed.
