One of my friends visited this bbq joint to watch the world cup games and told me that their meat was very good and real value for money so me and my coworkers decided to have some Korean meat and Korean 'SOJU' because it is a Monday.
The place looks very spacious and had a cozy feel. They had the old-school style metal can seats which is hard to find in HK these days. Felt like one of my favourite BBQ joint near by Korean university.
We first ordered some 'SOJU' before we decided on our meat. We decided to the boneless short ribs and rib finger first. Boneless short ribs tasted soooo good. Basically quick cook on side, flip, cook and eat. We were three big men so we decided to order one more boneless short ribs. The rib finger had to be cooked a bit longer but it has it own flavour and texture. If you like a bit more chewy texture then this is your meat. But we all agreed that Boneless short rib was better.
Then we decided to order three dishes of PORK BELLY. As a Korean, pork belly is the meat that goes perfectly with soju. I like how Mr Korea BBQ's pork belly came thick. Its rare to find in Hong Kong that served thick chuck of Pork Belly.
We started with a lot of meat and eventually ended with a lot of Soju. The place is really cozy and laid back. I will definitely come back again. One of my recommended go to place for Korean food in Hong Kong. Real value for money.
*I was told that they renovated the place recently by the manager (?)
