Finally tried their Kimpira Rice Burger. It was a not bad experience.
(I was a bit hesitant trying at first because of the bad reviews I've read, though they were written for another location.)
The actual filling (burdock and carrots) looked darker than what is shown on the picture. It must the sauce or marinade they used. The burdock tasted and looked kind of like pickled vegetable. With that, the level of saltiness is just right when (or if) it's eaten with the rice bun each bite. The flavor is pretty good, nothing too surprising.
The rice burger bun is soft and warm. Good chewiness, not gummy.
The burger is pretty small, compared to the usual size you see at other fast food restaurants.
P.S. The person who prepared my burger seemed to be training another staff member. He was showing her the steps for making the burger. (I saw it through the kitchen glass window.) So, not sure if the burger was good because it was prepared by the trainer. Hope their quality is consistent.
The burger was wrapped in a what seems to be a cone-shaped wrapper. So when you open the wrapper, the burger is slightly wider open on the top with the illusion that the burger is stuffed with a lot of fillings. Only when you are on to the last few bites of the burger, you realize there are not much filling left (at the tip of the cone-shaped wrapper). The next time I try it if ever, I'll make sure to push the filling slightly towards the bottom of the wrapper so that it's evenly distributed.
