A great restaurant is made of great food and great people. And Latitude 22 doesn't lack in either departments. It's only my second visit, and it has already become one of my favorite restaurants in town. On decor:The restaurant is simply decorated, and the vibe is casual. A great restaurant is made of great food and great people. And Latitude 22 doesn't lack in either departments.
It's only my second visit, and it has already become one of my favorite restaurants in town.


On decor:
The restaurant is simply decorated, and the vibe is casual. And I appreciate it because it shows that the restaurant is all about the taste of the food, not the bells and whistles.

On people:
I love the entire crew, especially the hostess Tricia. They were very friendly and humble, and definitely knew their menu very well.

On food:
Pork Loin Crostini - pork was cooked to perfection, the meat wasn't stringy or tough, but it was really the sauce that made the dish
Chorizo and Mushrooms - a must have! savory and creamy, and best served with their amazing herb flat bread
Meatballs - beef was soft, but mixed with a bit of tendon to give it a bit of crunch
Chili Garlic Prawns - just enough of a kick, and pairs really well with the menu's other savory dishes
Seared scallop - delicately dished, and the scallops were cooked perfectly

Let's not forget to mention their Sangria and wide range of beers and wines.

I definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody who wants to taste authentic tapas. I'm definitely going back soon (after I work off my food baby)!

Poor quality and seating

Well, this place in any other town would be exalted--- but this Hong Kong. This the home of Mesa 15, WTF, and Boqueria.All their prices are basically on the same level except Latitude 22 is lacking in quality.Their olives were very mushy and had a disgusting sourness you'd get from old olives. Even though there were only two tables at the restaurant we did not get attended to well, service was non-existent, our water glasses were not re-filled and orders were taken wrong. Their olives were very mushy and had a disgusting sourness you'd get from old olives. Even though there were only two tables at the restaurant we did not get attended to well, service was non-existent, our water glasses were not re-filled and orders were taken wrong. Our white anchovies had a stale quality to them, the flesh was very mushy. Furthermore the environment was very uncomfortable, the seats were uneven--- if you sat in the banquet you were much higher than your guests sitting on stools. The dining room also was marinated with cigarette smoke, very unappetizing.

Latitude 22 does have some yummy dishes, we tried their flatbread and it was okay and their chorizo and mushroom dish is really bright and tasty.

People generally come here because their tapas portions are "bigger." I really don't agree, you can get the same portions at WTF (just down the hill) at the same price for far superior quality.

    The food here is a must try. Having tried most of the dishes on the menu over many visits, I have never been disappointed. Chorizo and mushrooms - This flavourful dish is in a rich creamy sauce and is absolutely delicious paired with the Herb flat bread (ordered separately). Like a match made in heaven Chili Garlic Prawns - This is another one of my favourites. The aroma from the kitchen when this is cooking is amazing and it tastes just as good as it smells.     Mushroom Crostini - The mushrooms are sauteed in a garlic and black truffle cream sitting on top of toasted bread. Scrumptious and more-ish.


    Chili meatballs - These juicy balls of meat cooked in a tomato sauce are awesome.

    Marinated Olives - These tasty olives are well marinated in garlic, lemon and herbs. I sometimes have these on their own when enjoying a nice glass of sauvignon blanc


    Overall, I love this place. The food is delicious and I always leave with a big smile on my face

    After 3 visits, we are hoping to become regulars. The small, baroque, pub-like interior of Latitude 22 juxtaposes oddly with its gourmet offerings. The uninitiated may walk in expecting fish and chips and a pint, only to be pleasantly surprised with heady selections of Iberian chorizos, pickled herring, fois gras crostini alongside a wide variety of choice wines and beers. It could be said the contrast between the interior decor and palatability of the fare only serves to enhance the latter. An

    An ebullient ‘Tricia, the regular hostess, happily dropped this little gem on her new guests (as she does to most newbies): Head Chef Nigel used to cook for the Queen Mum!

    True to his exalted pedigree, Nigel cooks all orders fresh in his small kitchen with the finest ingredients and served bubbling hot. Highly recommended are the meatballs, shrimp, anything with chorizo, and the artichoke and caramelized onion pizza. Obviously, one must order the fresh baked Catalonia herb flat bread to soak up the intense sauces in which everything comes swimming in. The service is friendly, and Nigel may pop out for a quick check on how you are doing on the sauces. On most nights, Latitude 22 is an oasis of calm and favors away from the brouhaha of the main Soho area, perfect for a long chatty dinner with friends or a quiet date. However, on certain nights, the “regulars” may occupy its small collection of tables, and new comers will leave disappointed.

    Nice Tapas in Soho

    When one thinks of tapas in Soho Lattitude does not come to mind, however they do have a few dishes that is worth a visit. When you walk in Latitude looks more like a bar/pub than a restaurant, however they do serve great spicy meatballs in tomato sauce and chorizos and mushroom. Everything is cooked to order and you can tell it's being prepared with fresh ingrediants and taken with great pride from their chef. Lattitude has a huge selection of Spanish wines to choose from.

    The atmosphere is cosy with 5-6 tables and high chairs and booths along the wall. They seem to have a lot of regulars and a few drop ins. If you're looking for some place different than the usual Tapas places in Soho, you should try Latitude. The place is normally not packed and you'll be greeted by their friendly staff members.
