There is no food review here, only my very poor experience in terms of service. Food is great and you already have 40 people telling you that it is so. There is no food review here, only my very poor experience in terms of service. Food is great and you already have 40 people telling you that it is so. But here is why I am really upset at this restaurant:

A couple of friends of mine decided to catch up over lunch today, and we picked L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon as the venue. I have only had dinner here, and I looked forward to trying out their lunch menu. I was given a choice to sit either at the counter or at a table inside, and I was told that I could have the set lunch at either location. Of course I chose to sit at a table inside for the comfort factor.

I arrived on time and waited for my friends, who were busy with work and showed up much later. When I finally got my hands on a menu - more than 30 minutes after I arrived, I realized that the set lunch menus were different in the two areas. I had wanted the $390 set being served at the counters, while one had to order the $580 set dining at a table.

I was a little upset. While I always knew that the a la carte menus were different, the person on the phone did not tell me about the different menus and pricing. I ask a waiter to change to counter seating so that we can have the $390 set. They inform us that they cannot fit a party of four, and ask us to wait.

We call a manager to discuss the situation. The guy is totally unapologetic, and was willing to do nothing. My friends and I start to get really upset. It is now 1:30pm, and we haven't been able to order the food, let alone start lunch. While I know that for some reason, L'Atelier has this stupid rule about keeping the menus for the two areas separate, I felt that in this instance, the manager is clearly being ridiculously inflexible. In order for him to keep to his rule, he would rather have 4 paying customers sit around waiting for seats at the counter, even though they are already seated at a table and could be served immediately.

What was really ridiculous was his insistance that the staff on the phone was absolutely correct - since one can have a set lunch both at the counter and at a table inside. Basically this is how he sees it: if I needed to know more - such as whether they are the same set lunch or different ones - well then, it's my fault for not asking a direct question. The staff is under no obligation to voluntarily disclose that information.

The manager walked away, still insisting that we wait for seats at the counter instead of serving us at the table. 1:40pm came and we were on the verge of walking out to get lunch somewhere else, when a waiter came to tell us that we can now sit at the counter. Team decided to stay for lunch since we were already there, but the damage was done. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of service, especially from an establishment purporting to be one of the best in the city.

The food was excellent as one would expect. But why would I bother to return to a restaurant that gives me shitty service with that kind of attitude?! I did take pictures and did plan on describing the dishes and my experience, but at this moment, I have zero inclination to do so.

我就沒有那強勁食力, 只要一個牛角包已足夠, 用紙袋包好帶走, 一出門口已急不及待打開, 那股牛油香氣太吸引了~ 雖碰不上出爐時間, 但也有點微溫, 外層鬆脆而不散, 而中心又帶有幾分柔軟, 邊吃邊讚, 是個極出色的牛角包!!


當然, 要知道製作過程用了多少牛油才能做出這美妙東西, 唉.. 還是間中吃好了.

I went there with one of my girlfriends, I was told the service was not great before my arrival and my good friend was obviously not impressed. We both ordered the lunch set menu / set lunch - it came with lovely starter, very well displayed salad and prawn; then the main dish was medium-well beef well served with lovely sauce. Finally it came with their desert - cakes with variety. The plate was beautiful and we were told that those were made by a Japanese chef. How interesting, French and Japanese met together. The only one down was with those French Fries, they were far too salted and overly done. The waiter asked to remake for us. The fries were probably not for us, or not for our taste.

Good to be there - this modern and talk-of=the-town restaurant.

best dinner i had in recent years, food is surprisingly good. expensive but worth it. One down side, tables are set too closely. I expected a bit more privacy with the amount of money I was paying.

Came here on Friday for lunch with a couple of colleagues. Everything was very creative and delicious. Set lunch at HK$390 each is a good bargain. It started with a bread basket and a shot of tomato puree with mozarella. My appetizer was white asparagus with tomato, while my colleagues had smoked salmon mousse with avocado. The presentation was very interesting!

My colleagues really liked the beef medallion - I'm allergic to beef but it does look very good. My salmon was amazing - pan seared to pretty crsipy on the outside while the inside melts in your mouth. The dessert was caramel icecream with chocolate mousse - a very delightful surprise. Will come back for the tasting menu.

很忙碌,很勞氣,很需要鼓勵,決定來這裡吃個漢堡包。一個人來,當然也要求坐望見廚房的吧檯,跟法籍領班寒暄幾句,簡單的要了前菜及漢堡,就自己靜靜的吃一個午餐。例牌先來個開胃菜,是日的是芫茜芝士慕絲配蕃茄啫喱。淺綠加紅包,整個前菜賣相很美。上面一層是忌廉芝士,很幼滑,加了點芫莤的味道,味覺效果很不錯。下面紅包的是蕃茄啫喱,配上蕃茄粒,配合起來很清新,絕對能喚醒味蕾,很好;再來的麵包籃,是日有六款麵包,每款也吃一點,最喜歡的要算是核桃包,是真的充滿核桃香,加上幾粒乾果,很美味又好吃。雞蛋包也非常好,蛋味香濃,塗上牛油,再吃也不會膩。包點也是這裡的強項,雖然只是附送的麵包籃,但也是即做的,不容錯過。選了兩道菜,第一味是凍的牛油果伴蟹肉「LE Crape」。簡單而味美的組合,蟹肉非常鮮甜,配上一片牛油果及青蘋果絲,上面灑了一抺咖哩粉末,旁邊的醬汁是用紅椒、蒜頭及辣椒打成的,恰如其分的提升蟹肉的鮮甜,做得很有水準;再來就是我的漢堡包「LE Burger」,平時吃的漢堡總是大大個夠份量,這裡的是兩小個的,很的骰。賣高價法國餐的,如果肯賣漢堡,當然有點特色。用料確是很精良,自家製的包,夾上澳洲牛肉及鵝肝

我喜歡吃漢堡,有點名字的都差不多吃過,這裡的漢堡,很精緻,很美味。人年紀大了,要吃好一點,不需要吃那麼多,這一餐,是剛剛好。

配一個檸檬雪葩,最後來杯咖啡,是很滿意的一餐。

簡單而美味,盧布松是一間好店子。

Usually I don't like to try something like tasting menu, but really don't want to use my brain anymore. So I just try their tasting menu with $1850. Well...is expected the unexpected, it turned to be delicious. Each dish just like an art, and full of creative, I love it. Even it is my most expensive dinner ever in my life, I think it still worth it.Especially, the Lobster soup and the quail....just...make me speechless.

It was our first time there and my wife and I were impressed by the atmosphere and professional staff upon entering the restaurant. We set at the bar tables and were a bit confused by the menu because the dishes were not really classified as entrees and mains... rather, the bar table menu was more like tapas style.. we ended up ordering a few of the small tasting dishes and sharing most of the food. For starters, we ordered the tuna tartare, sea urchin with lobster jelly, lobster salad, foie gras & steak burger and then we shared the wagyu beef for main. Although very full, we ordered the melting chocolate cake with mint ice-cream (Le Mint). To top this all off, we had a bottle of Prieure-Lichine 1994 which was wonderful.

All the food was really quite nice but out of everything, the burger and the steak were outstanding (so was the dessert actually). The staff were friendly and helpful. We were quite amused by the busy open kitchen crew who kept responding to some half-English/half-French commands by the Head Chef.

Overall, a very enjoyable evening out and we would definitely be back.

又係法國日,梗係食法菜。我地來左法文老師都推介的robuchon。我地叫左Paris-Brest同Earl Grey蛋糕。Paris-Brest榛子味,唔太甜,但個酥皮唔夠鬆。Earl Grey蛋糕陣味從來未食過,好創新,好味!至於兩杯咖啡就麻麻啦,Starbucks價,冇乜好講。服務方面,有個短髮老醜女人好面黑,但除左佢之外都幾好,特別係長髮大眼個姐姐。雖然今次坐路邊,但見到出面d人行來行去,感覺好悠閒,係闊太先有咁好閒情。

嚴格來說,這裡只是輕裝版的盧布松,主理人當然是超三星廚,但這個品牌也只是二星,並不是完全是fine dinning的地方。未來時,朋友問坐吧檯還是二人檯,人家以「L'Atelier」為名,當然坐吧檯了,至少可以看到在工作的各位大小廚師們呢!當然嫌這裡不夠體面的,多是只看餐牌上的價錢,但看看人家的名字,其實也懂自己對號入座。朋友賺了一筆不大不小的利潤,連帶我這個不收佣的二打六都有餐食,地點由付鈔的話事,就來了這裡。無數次在東京也錯過了幫襯,想不到再來已經是在香港。裝修是仍舊是紅黑為主,一貫的盧布松風格。朋友請客,聲明不要去碰那個午餐餐牌,是實上,也絕對是La Carte Degustation中的幾款份量少少的自選菜色較合心水。自己就要了「L'OURSIN」龍蝦海膽喱、「LE VEAU」燒牛肉及「L'AGNEAU」燒小羊架,朋友一於死跟,一式一樣。麵包籃選擇不少,酥餅、圓包、麵包條等等都有,還是暖暖的,不錯。吃過小圓包及麵包條,都縑太硬,獨是那個酥餅就鬆軟可口,似乎也是這裡的強項;前菜是一小杯鵝肝醬慕絲,做得也頗出色。鵝肝醬慕絲做得軟滑,配上面頭的巴馬芝士泡沫,味道強烈,但口感輕盈,中間

打頭陣的是「L'OURSIN」,是用一個鵝蛋型的玻璃盛器送來,伴上玫瑰花瓣,賣相很美,也是一看便知是盧布松風格,不同的地方,分別可能是魚子醬式是西芥汁,但賣相也會是這個樣子的。軟滑豐腴的海膽,配上同樣軟滑的龍蝦喱,涼涼的口感將味道昇華,令人回味無窮。上面一層薄薄的西蘭花忌廉汁,帶來一點清新的味道,這一個開胃前菜,值得推介;

再來是「LE VEAU」燒牛肉,薄牛仔肉稱不上軟滑,但肉味甚濃。上面舖了烤亞之竹及火箭菜,當然稱不上難吃,但比起其他的兩味,是流於普通了一點。主菜普通,但配菜卻是絕對不能少看,就是盧布松的「神奇薯蓉」,集「香‧軟‧幼滑‧細緻」於一身的,懂做薯蓉的,看看這裡的,就知工序繁多,殊不簡單。沒有誇張,是我有生以來吃過最好吃的薯蓉,是用麵包將最後的一小滴也揩拭吃清!絕對,絕對,絕對不容錯過!
最後的一道菜是「L'AGNEAU」燒小羊架,小羊架不是平時般的貨色,細細支,肉質非常嫩滑,簡單的去煎一煎,配上點點的香草醬汁,已很好吃。要了medium rare,但燒出來是稍稍熟了一點點。當然,要付頂級價錢,也應有頂級的要求。還有當然是配菜的薯蓉,就算是飽了,也吃個一點不留!

甜品時間,這裡的名物是「千層酥」,但是日太飽了,就簡單的來一個熱情果雪葩。雪葩打得軟滑,是一點冰點也沒有的。熱情果的天然酸味,醒胃清新,非常不錯。

押尾來了杯忌廉特濃咖啡,配上精緻又美味的petit four,為這一餐劃上一個美好的句號。

年青的侍應說不上是服務差,實際上已盡全力,但對不起,不是三星級數,或者是星級也未到。如我的L"OURSIN碟邊是大大個手指摸,位置安排又迫在一起,另一邊又空無一人等,並不算是很出色,仍須努力。

如果想初嚐什麼是「盧布松」,請不要單吃個午市套餐就下定論,來試一試其小份量的「La Carte Degustation」吧!當然,要吃fine dinning版本的盧布松,對不起,要在境外去找了。

跟食家走到他香港的至愛西餐ROBUCHON,從黑深深的獨立電梯而上,一切都是黑黑的佈置,我們的午餐選擇於星期日的中午,也特別選了OPEN KITCHEN 的TABLE,一邊食一邊欣賞他們的廚藝.一坐下,法藉MANAGER專業的招待我們,當然少不了WINE LIST,他們也提供不少HALF BOTTLE,使午餐也不會飲太多.之後他們送上每人一小柸飯前小食,四色的,還教我們一層一層的食,不可MIX.我們點了CAVIAR EGG YOKE, 上面一厚層CAVIAR,下面是脆鳥巢,入面竟然是熱蛋黃,流動的.真有趣!他們教我們用麵包點牛油和蛋黃食,一絕!BASKET的麵包全是非常好味,而牛油也是特製ORGANIC.之後是foie gras with dragon fruit,鵝肝配火龍果,口感異常好.當然foie gras是入口即溶.後來還有黑豬ham,即切即用紅燈照出輕微的油,使它更香,只是稍覺得加在toast with tomato一起吃toast太濃味,蓋了黑豬的味道.還有OMELETTE WITH TRUFFLE,十分香,蛋亦煮得剛剛好.不能不提是最後的CHEESE CAKE 和LATT

後來還有黑豬ham,即切即用紅燈照出輕微的油,使它更香,只是稍覺得加在toast with tomato一起吃toast太濃味,蓋了黑豬的味道.

還有OMELETTE WITH TRUFFLE,十分香,蛋亦煮得剛剛好.不能不提是最後的CHEESE CAKE 和LATTE,真是難以忘記.價錢是超貴,但確是eye-opening dining experience.

一個星期內已幫襯了兩次,都是三樓的Coffee Shop,第一次點了牛角包,熱朱古力,咖啡及Latte,最後還點了芒果椰子蛋糕。牛角包真是好吃到不得了,外皮脆,肉鬆軟,牛油味夠濃夠香,$12 這價錢真是超值。熱朱古力($35) - 很黏稠,好像一粒朱古力溶在你口中,可想而知朱古力味很濃,不太甜,喜歡朱古力的人必試。咖啡($35) - 咖啡味很濃,偏苦,可選配鮮奶或cream,我們選了後者。Latte ($35) - 雖然是Latte,但仍然感受到咖啡的苦澀味及香濃味,若平時習慣了Starbucks 那些淡味的Latte,未必會喜歡這裡的咖啡。Mango and Coconut Cake ($40) - 必吃!好吃得不得了!第二次幫襯,都是點了兩杯熱朱古力及兩件牛角包,太太吃完一件,立即點多了一件,真的很好味!裝修以紅黑色為主,很COOL 的現代感。

專登去試佢個牛角包同朱古力包.真係好鬆化,食到成身都係.朱古力包裡面d朱古力仲係半熔狀態, 非常好.但就熑佢唔夠牛油香,o係法國食時,個包入咗紙袋都仲可以聞到好香牛油味, Robuchon D就唔係太覺.

Macaroon其實唔難做, 但係要做得好就好難. 呢間Macaroon的味道同質感同我響法國高級餅店食到既一樣, 真係好掂! 牛包、朱古力酥皮包勁正! 蛋榚都OK!
