印象和現實, 可以是兩碼子的事... 小妹多年來經過這間位於地庫的意大利餐廳, 一直都很好奇, 怠覺上是個很懷舊, 食物味道很正宗, 不受現代社會口味污染之類... 所以一直以來都有個無原因的好印象... 直至早幾晚來吃飯當晚二人walk in, 餐廳內也不太多客人, 可以安安靜靜地吃一頓晚飯..相信香港人對意大利美食都陌生, 我倆也是對意式美食很有興趣的人, 平時大部分時間都是吃risotto, 當晚二人都突然想吃pizza! 不過相對pasta, pizza, 二人都對這裡的前菜沒太大興趣... 結果隨便叫了個牛油果大蝦沙律上枱時真的傻了眼,, 這... 就是一個價值$140的沙律?!?!?! 份量可其少! 再試一下蝦, 雖不是樓下食評所說的霉蝦, 但也不是新鮮貨, 最多是質素好一點的雪藏貨! 墊底的菜是正常沙律菜, 牛油果則大約有半個... 不說還以為自己去了高級餐廳, 這份沙律無論是在質素, 價錢和份量上都不合理, 不成比例的! 是小妹極力不推介的!!!幸好pizza是不錯的, 要了個四色芝士薄餅, 名乎其實是薄。餅, 二人都喜歡這種真正的意大利薄餅厚度, 邊是香脆的, 而四種

上枱時真的傻了眼,, 這... 就是一個價值$140的沙律?!?!?! 份量可其少! 再試一下蝦, 雖不是樓下食評所說的霉蝦, 但也不是新鮮貨, 最多是質素好一點的雪藏貨! 墊底的菜是正常沙律菜, 牛油果則大約有半個... 不說還以為自己去了高級餐廳, 這份沙律無論是在質素, 價錢和份量上都不合理, 不成比例的! 是小妹極力不推介的!!!

幸好pizza是不錯的, 要了個四色芝士薄餅, 名乎其實是薄。餅, 二人都喜歡這種真正的意大利薄餅厚度, 邊是香脆的, 而四種芝士中味道最突出的一定是藍芝士gorgonzola.. 其他如cheddar, permasan cheese等就不太吃得出, 四種芝士加起來都頗油膩, 幸好餅底夠薄, 否則都很難完成一大個pizza!! 配了half bottle的紅酒, 酸酸澀澀的, 不太好喝

其實都已經夠飽了, 不過就是想吃甜品, 要了個tiramisu.. 大大件的. 夠濕亦夠香, 但酒味就明顯不足. 還有可以進步的空間 而且配上焦糖糖漿, 感覺有點怪怪的

看到有其他食客都有雪糕送, 與店員也有講有笑, 明顯是熟客吧? 結賬時發生了不愉快事情 二人都購了某間團購的八折咭, 寫得很清楚有兩張咭就二人同時有八折, 但店方卻說只收一張, 換句話說就只有一位的人均消費有八折, 但店方卻沒有把這個特別條款告知團購公司, 小妹覺得有點被騙... 自問是個花錢不太計較的人, 尤其是對食物, 也不會為一個幾豪而勞氣, 但小妹認為做生意應合理, 尤其是做團購這類型宣傳活動, 有特別條款就應事前說明... 好吃的餐館有不少, 所以服務亦很重要, 在這個花花世界裡, 這間餐廳在小妹眼中是個no return啦

完全是不經意的走到這裡,媽媽突然記起這間就是婷婷小時候爸爸帶我們大鄉里吃 Pizza 的老地方啊!記憶突然飄回來!對對對!就是這裡了!小時候那一次的印像很深刻,長大後其實一直也想尋找店子在哪兒;曾經在尖沙咀返工,曾經來回這條街無數次,吃過附近不同的餐廳,也有幾次差點兒便入了這一間,但好像天意作弄,原來人與地方也講緣份的,原來【遠在天邊近在眼前】!裝修格局都沒有變過,媽媽竟然還記得廿幾年前我們坐哪一張枱,天花還是掛滿一個個酒樽到處都是古董當年出來吃頓意大利餐是天大的盛事,記得爸爸當時說正式西餐 Pizza 是一人一份不用 Share 的,今日重遊舊地,點了這個蝦意粉,好。。。。。。難食呀!啲蝦唔新鮮,又聲又硬,非常差!究竟係我變咗定係佢變咗呢?終於明白到,當一切已成往事,過去的就讓它過去吧!

La Taverna 藏身於阿士厘道,門口好細,打開門要向下走幾級。樓底唔高,枱排得幾密,燈光昏暗,但佈置得好cozy, 感覺舒服。所有碟印上餐廳名字2人同行,點了3個菜:Cesar chicken salad ($98) - 份量不多、菜爽脆、汁剛好掛於每片菜葉、雞略(o鞋)磨菇意大利飯 - 磨菇已打成蓉變成醬汁,雖然看不到磨菇,但充滿磨菇香味。飯略軟,但不太膩,2人share 剛好,如果加些磨菇粒增加口感更好。意大利雲吞 ($158) - 以三文魚作餡料,配忌廉白汁,大約有十粒,件頭不大,可以一口一粒。三文魚 + 忌廉 =「膩疊膩」,可以skip.甜品是home made tiramisu ($78), 這個相當美味,甜度適中、奶跟cream 比例剛好、賣相討好,如果酒味再多一點點更好。Cappuccino ($45) - 比預期中苦澀,而且朱古力亦少,奶泡亦不濃密,比較失望。播放中的意大利歌曲、斷續的碰杯聲、pizza 在焗爐的香氣 - 舒適的環境,價錢略貴,還是值得。

我十分喜愛吃Risotto, 昨夜為慶祝剛考完試, 男友訂了尖咀亞士厘的 La Taverna大吃一餐!餐廳要落地爐, 環境很有歐陸風情....有如置身意大利小餐館, 很浪漫 i like it !!!!!就ORDER 燴牛膝意大利反同 蘑姑RISOTTOmushroom risotto 的蘑姑香味簡直聞到都流口水, 味道亦十分濃郁可口 LIKE! ossobucco e risotto alla milanese 牛膝煮得剛熟, 很有嚼勁, LIKE! 台上放有一隻啤酒的相, 叫做 DUNKEL "Hofbrauhaus" 牌子. 侍應說是一隻獲獎無數的德國啤酒, 在德國是皇室御用的, 也試試吧. 雖說是一種黑麥啤,但感覺沒有平時酒吧啤酒的苦澀味, 反而聞落似麥精, 麥味很重, 甜甜地, 最後男友竟然忍唔住買左2支DUNKEL 回家再飲! 我地都強力推介 十分好味道的一餐意大利菜!!

台上放有一隻啤酒的相, 叫做 DUNKEL "Hofbrauhaus" 牌子. 侍應說是一隻獲獎無數的德國啤酒, 在德國是皇室御用的, 也試試吧.
雖說是一種黑麥啤,但感覺沒有平時酒吧啤酒的苦澀味, 反而聞落似麥精, 麥味很重, 甜甜地, 最後男友竟然忍唔住買左2支DUNKEL 回家再飲! 我地都強力推介

昨晚, 聽講座前光顧了這間餐廳.自己係一個勁喜愛意菜的意菜monster, 亦非常favour Risotto, 所以就叫了個好典型的Mushroom Risotto, 典型程度就等於在上海食肆叫一客小籠包 or 北京小店來一碟餃子一樣, 簡單得來, 易見真章.等了一會, 終於來到....第一眼: 咦!? sauce多左DD 喎! 稀了丁點, 有點兒似撈飯....似乎火候還差些少. Anyway, 即管放入口試下....第一口: 好香好濃郁的蘑菇味, 意飯粒粒蠻有嚼勁, 不錯.我不敢說我很懂意菜, 我只能夠說, 這碟飯跟我居住在意國時的一向吃的有些不同. 如果, 個飯再收乾少少, 口感黏一點點, 咁就Perfecto啦!

一直都想試,既然有同事Highly Recommand當然贊成預先訂好枱,唔需要等餐廳唔full環境不錯,很有格調,而且周圍都佈置咗好多畫同埋歐洲特色嘅裝飾,好多野睇尤其係天花嘅裝潢,好特別 Antipasti蒜茸牛油麵包 + 法式麵包 (可refill)蒜茸包好香脆,法式麵包可以醮olive oil + 醋,仲有自家製嘅牛油牛油好香滑,好好味嘅牛油 Zupa di pesce a La Taverna X3 @$98 即係海鮮湯一份海鮮湯可以分開一半,order 咗3 份用一個好靚好大嘅貝殼碗裝住,好靚湯裡面有大蝦青口魷魚......幾多料味道好濃郁因為味道太濃,所以覺得有d 鹹但其實係好好飲有樣野好怪,佢地明明有湯匙但佢冇俾我地喎......食完麵包飲埋湯都有d飽,所以我覺得個湯可以分3份... My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at La Taverna Wednesday last week, and it was a genuinely pleasant experience. We had reserved a table (just in case), but the restaurant was not nearly full that night.After ordering, we got a bread basket with yummy garlic bread and our wine, and didn't have to wait long for our appetizer (dried bresaola with arugula and parmesan), which was very good. After ordering, we got a bread basket with yummy garlic bread and our wine, and didn't have to wait long for our appetizer (dried bresaola with arugula and parmesan), which was very good. As a main course, we shared the osso bucco and the gnocci with four cheese sauce. We got the osso bucco first, which was wonderfully tender and tasty, served with risotto and, oddly, broccoli (essentially raw), two cherry tomatoes, and two baked potato halves on the side. The sides weren't bad, just ... not Italian at all, and not really creative, either.
The gnocci were very good, too, but as they came on a cold plate and sat on the table until we were done with the osso bucco, they were cold by the time we had them.
To go with dessert (tiramisu: good, but by no means the world's best, and panna cotta: outstanding. The dessert plates were decorated with sauce hearts, awww...), we tried two different kinds of grappa, neither of which we liked. Not that anything was wrong with them, they were just not as tasty and smooth as we would have liked.

We enjoyed that the restaurant was quiet because it was not full, and because there were so many decorative items on shelves on the walls and hanging from the ceiling that all noise from other customers was muzzled.
The waiters were fairly quick, but we didn't have any requests or questions. Taking our dessert order, the waiter asked if everything was to our liking.
Overall a place I can definitely recommend for a nice romantic dinner.

另一道主菜是 Filetto di Cernia alla Livornese,是由白酒、檸檬汁等煮成的石斑塊,再加上西蘭花、薯仔和蕃茄仔作伴菜。對於我來說並不算很 impressive,不過我覺得都不差。

最後又怎少得甜品呢?其中一件是 Tiramisu。賣相都算不錯,只是我覺得酒味有點不足。

另一個甜品是我也忘記了是什麼味道的布甸。

這餐埋單大約是 $600 多元 (連加一),其實我覺得都算合理啦。

- very thinly sliced, pan-fried was crunchy on outside (not oily) and soft on
inside. The sides was also nice (potato and vegies).
SERVICE
- The food seemed to be good italian food, but the service seemed more chinese / fast food restaurant style: efficient, non-nonsense. We could see the kitchen from our table, and it looked a little fast food style too.
ENVIRONMENT
We had a long table in the restaurant, the place feels cosy with many decorations to make it feel that way - pots, pans, bottles around the place, tiled floors.
Good place for gathering with friends for some good quality italian food in a relaxed atmosphere.

濶別六年,重來這間老字號,不得不說非常失望。還記得以前來這兒吃飯是滿座的,這次來是因為去兩次對面的Jimmy's Kitchen, 男友嚷著說要來試試看。憑著六年前的美好回憶,心想它定是保持到水準吧。結果是很失望,我們兩人叫了一個頭盤蘑菇,無味道也不香,自已在家中做得比他好。我點的主菜羊仔肉,薄薄的三片羊仔肉加少許菜、蕃蕃及薯仔 (做定得,不是新鮮)便收費HK$218 (未計加一),那三片羊仔肉吃之無味,配上檸檬汁,只覺得酸溜溜的。男朋友點的是燴牛肉飯(HK$218),他說茶餐廳的還比它好,菜都是凍的。服務生的態度也是懶理不理的,似乎最好不要打擾他發夢的時間,欠缺笑容。老經理也是一樣。同日只有一大枱,四小枱的客人,也許因為生意不好而不開心吧。總而言之,收這個價錢,這樣的食物質素,真的不會再來光顧!

There is such an Italian restaurant on Ashely road? This is the question I was being asked every time I suggest this place for dinner. Yes it does and it is a very low profile one indeed. This traditional country style Italian restaurant has been in business since 1969 and I assume its interior decor pretty much stayed the same over all these years as well. There is such an Italian restaurant on Ashely road? This is the question I was being asked every time I suggest this place for dinner. Yes it does and it is a very low profile one indeed. This traditional country style Italian restaurant has been in business since 1969 and I assume its interior decor pretty much stayed the same over all these years as well. The walls, the chairs, the paintings and the ceiling fixtures give you an antique look and somehow makes yo feel you are in Italy. However, how it differs from one in Italy is the cramped seating arrangement between tables, literally back to back with seats behind me. (not to mention being able to hear almost all the conversations behind me throughout of the dinner). Not a very comforting experience.

I remembered that the last time I was here, the menu was so difficult to understand because the name of most dishes (maybe all of them) are in Italian with the ingredients in English. They have changed the menu since then and it is way easier to read. (the items seem different as well)(I think their web menu is still showing the old menu, go check it out)

Dinner stared with some Garlic Bread as starter which was pretty good. The sliced french bread was not over toasted and it has a rather fresh garlic taste (+ butter taste of course). My assumption is that instead of using garlic paste or flavored butter, they used real garlic piece to rub all over the bread before putting into the oven. At least that's what I hope they did. Overall, a fair dish to start off with.

Following the garlic bread was another starter item which I forgot the name of it but it was cocktail-sized shrimps with olive oil and diced onion and dried tomatoes I think. Nothing really exciting about this dish (although it is marked as a signature dish). Note: the shrimps used were fresh shrimps so texture and taste were pretty nice. I wish the sauce can be richer in taste.

For the main dishes, my friend and I ordered a Risotto with Porcini Mushroom and a Tucola Pizza consisting of tomato, mozzarella, rockets and parma ham. Risotto was very good as always. Very creamy throughout the whole dish and the short grain rice was sufficiently firm to my liking (and this should be the way how a good risotto is prepared.) I ordered the porcini mushroom risotto instead of other with tomato sauce because I want to get a better taste of the stocking used make the risotto. Very satisfying indeed but wished it the rice can be abit firmer. This dish is better than the one I had at PALA last week and I am still in the search for an even better risotto dish.

I personally prefer thin crust pizza because I can get more of toppings put of each slice and can have more slices in general. The Tucola Pizza is a thin crust pizza and since I love rockets and parma ham, there wasn't much I can complain about the pizza except more parma ham perhaps? The more the merrier! I never tried the parma ham pizza from Pizza Express across the street, let me give it a try later and see which one is better.

Had dinner with a few friends at La Taverna on a Wednesday evening. Surprising it started to get kind of crowded after 7 pm. With only 2 Waiter/Manager there, the service was very slow and poor. It takes ages for them to serve our main after our appetizer and the main was served one after one. Luckily we were sharing, otherwise, one could have finished their meal while the other one is still waiting for the main!The dessert menu were in Italian, can't really tell what it is, so we asked the

The dessert menu were in Italian, can't really tell what it is, so we asked the Waiter to introduce, but he was SO RUDE and didn't bother to explain must just said "these are not available, only this and this and this is available" If those are not available, I wonder why they still put it on the menu!

Although food was OK (OK only, not delicious) but the service was sooooooo bad, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will not go to La Taverna ever again!
