Exclusivity not because of their members-only policy but an almost private hire of the place on a Friday night for being 2 of the only 4 customers. We are not members, managed to come try under a special promo that is open to public. Ambience and food daily ok but 2-course plus a glass of wine each for $1800 is not entirely a reason that calls for a come back.

今日去咗鏞記大廈嘅Kee club 食lunch. 因為係商業上面嘅飯局,所以唔方便影太多相。叫咗嘅有:蘿蔔糕,春卷,蝦餃,燒鵝,苗翠餃,同埋鴛鴦米粉。點心其實都係每一件一件咁樣計算嘅,唔係一般嘅酒樓嘅方法一籠一籠咁樣計嘅。一般嘅點心一般係幾十蚊一件,但事實上質素真係俾一半嘅酒樓係好好多嘅。春卷皮真係好脆,唔會有一般酒樓嗰種好硬既感覺,而係一種好鬆化嘅脆,而且都好夠熱。而蝦餃裏面嘅蝦我絕對懷疑係新鮮蝦做出嚟,夠曬爽口彈牙而且皮薄。蘿蔔糕雖然煎得並唔係好香脆,但好足夠嘅蘿蔔味,而且入邊係有蘿蔔絲。二燒鵝其實都係鏞記嘅燒鵝嚟嘅,品質真係幾好。鴛鴦米粉其實係粉絲同埋米粉一齊嘅,大多餐廳係淨係米粉或淨係粉絲,會有啲唔同,呢一碗嘅蚊米粉真係好夠飽。服務非常之好!

鴛鴦米粉其實係粉絲同埋米粉一齊嘅,大多餐廳係淨係米粉或淨係粉絲,會有啲唔同,呢一碗嘅蚊米粉真係好夠飽。

公司請食飯, 好好啊有得食西餐~不過味道就一般般啦...牛柳煮得好鞋...雖然牛味好濃但口感好似瘦肉咁, 好可惜呀浪費左好好既食材!擺盤好靚但係冇乜味道...餐廳係調味方面落左好少功夫, 成塊魚柳同豬都好PLAIN咁...雪糕還算合格啦, 但都唔算十分之好食, 顯現唔到物件原味, 只係較重奶味

我一直很欣賞每一間工作伙伴的老闆,不是每一位現在都有錢有權,因為我們這一行一定不是賺錢很容易的行業,但我深信每位在成立一間公司的時候,一定懷著一個夢想,一個能夠幫到其他公司推廣他們業務的心。這和鏞記的始創人甘穗煇先生一心只為令顧客一嚐美味燒鵝的味道一樣。 雖然大家都知道鏞記的餐廳每天都打開門口做生意,只是不是太多人知道,其實鏞記有自己整棟的大廈,而今天去的就是只有會員才能進膳的KEE CLUB 。由於只有專貴會員才能享用,還分了兩層,一層是可以放兩張12人圓枱的,上層除了有圓桌外、還有吧枱、長方型的桌子,這間私房菜還真難得各式其式,任君選擇。這裡大部份客人都以「外國人」較多,所以也讓人感覺份外高級。餐牌的設計封面相當有型,既有中國畫風的,但整幅畫卻配上中國畫少見的色調,以燙銀的KEE,加上炯炯有神的鸚鵡更令人有種神秘的霸氣感覺。先來的是姬松茸燉螺頭雞湯,每一顆姬松茸也是完好的,而且即使變成湯渣也不老,松茸香絲絲滲出,清甜可口,別人說苦口良藥,但這良湯卻一點也不苦,而這碗老火湯可說是替我們經常捱更抵夜的「馬劇亭」員工補充精力的湯水,姬松茸和雞也是增強免疫力和體力的材料,我們喝了一碗,上午

先來的是姬松茸燉螺頭雞湯,每一顆姬松茸也是完好的,而且即使變成湯渣也不老,松茸香絲絲滲出,清甜可口,別人說苦口良藥,但這良湯卻一點也不苦,而這碗老火湯可說是替我們經常捱更抵夜的「馬劇亭」員工補充精力的湯水,姬松茸和雞也是增強免疫力和體力的材料,我們喝了一碗,上午還是像一條線的眼晴也變回杏圓了。

第一道菜就是比較有特式的鵝肝小籠包,賣相也頗精緻,用兩個中式湯匙放著,侍應叮囑我們要快點吃,否則味道會有點差異。

這一點我在咬了一口後就明白,因為這裡的中間是鵝肝,不夠熱的話會變腥的,其實就算現在趁熱吃,我也覺得有點腥,嗚..... 不過肉汁還算足夠的,而皮也不算厚,過得去吧。

這客金銀蒜蒸元貝的份量,足足有手掌般大,而且從外表看,這隻扇貝真的非常肥美,加上賣相不錯,蒜茸輕輕放上作調味,讓我們都食指大動。

不說不知,其實扇貝有滋陰補腎的效用,補腎對於我地這班同事來說,多重要呢! 可惜我不小心吃了橙色的部份 ( 其實這是扇貝的生殖器官,不建議食用) 還看到只是僅熟而已,真的不禁捏一把汗,我可是相當擔心得肝病呢! 不過這隻扇貝肉質細嫩,鮮甜爽滑,可是粉絲卻完全沒有味道.....

這碟是我不會錯過的菜式---- 黃金蝦球,因為我十分喜歡黃金蝦這東西,這次變了蝦球的時候,我就覺得有點漏,雖然咸蛋黃是足夠的,但沒有蝦殼就好像少了些什麼似的。反而脆肉瓜用炸漿炸了也不太漏,還在表面灑了點鹽更添香口。

我一直狐疑枱面上的刀叉是用來吃什麼,看見這客鮑片扒時蔬,就知道該是時候用刀叉吃了。這客其實是很平常在飲宴吃到的菜式,雖然這裡的鮑片的確不像罐頭鮑魚的質感,好吃的鮑魚就是有點少少有點黏牙感覺就好,不過鮑魚再好也難掩平凡,時蔬不見得特別鮮甜,只能說普通。

其實吃了前4個餸後,我都飽得沒能吃這客薑粒和牛粒炒飯,但又被那薑味和飯香所吸引,還是吃下去。的確是佳品呢! 首先這裡選用泰國絲苗米,口感夠挺身,也炒得粒粒分明,炒得乾身,也沒下太多油。加上和牛一點也沒被炒得過老,還能保持到牛味和肉嫩的口感,最後我還是吃清光。

這裡的紅豆沙可以媲美西環源記,真的把紅豆都磨成沙了,而且不太甜,甜度剛好,真是再飽也要吃下這一碗。

總結:雖然只是短短1湯4餸1飯1甜湯,也把我們每一個人填得很飽了,雖然已經第二次來了,不過我認為這次真的能好專心享用食品。雖然沒有吃到燒鵝,但這裡也証明鏞記除了燒鵝以外,其他食物也做得不過不失呢! 不過既然是私房菜又是尊貴的會員才能進的會所,餸菜款式和水準也太平庸吧?! 難道少了創辦人這個夢想家,接班人也變得只看利益而忘了維持品質和食品的創新?

I had Chinese dim sum for lunch at Kee Club, a private members club located at Yung Kee Building at Lan Kwai Fong in Central.Customer service is quite good but the overall experience is being downgraded by their overrated dim sum lunch. You can also tell from the setting and decoration that Kee Club is a restaurant during daytime but a venue for partying and clubbing in the evening. Customer service is quite good but the overall experience is being downgraded by their overrated dim sum lunch. You can also tell from the setting and decoration that Kee Club is a restaurant during daytime but a venue for partying and clubbing in the evening. The dining tables are placed closely to each other and the chairs are not comfortable as they are too short.
I had a roller coaster experience with the food they served:
1. Shrimp Dumpling: The skin of the dumpling is too thick
2. Spinach Dumpling: Not bad. But I'm not a fan of dumpling with spinach.
3. Xiao Lung Bao: Each dumpling is being served in a spoon, and again the skin is too thick which totally kills the taste of the ingredients inside the dumpling
4. Pea Sprout: This was the best dish, so glad I'm finally eating something proper after having dim sum which taste badly

5. However, I was once again being disappointed as they served me very unpleasant Dan Dan Noodle (one of the worst I ever had). It was so bad that I couldn't even finish it.
6. Last but not least, I ordered a Goose which tasted alright.
The bill comes to about HK$500 per person, which I think is definitely overpriced for the quality of food they provide. However, Kee Club could be a convenient place for lunch if you want to avoid the queue.
Apart from Hong Kong, Kee Club is also located in Shanghai.

It used to be very good years ago, when people were not familiar with molecular cuisines. This restaurant came to a standstill since, and those molecular techniques are no secrets now. Who knows? Years later, we might see molecular cookings even at dai pai dong. Kee Club's creativity has come to a halt, and still they charge too much for very plain, no-longer-impressive foods.

We acquainted on the 6th of July, 2006 around 13:50 while i spoke (crap) French to him...

We had several email exchange and scheduled to meet in the Kee Club, as suggested by "Lucifer" who probably tried to IMPRESS me...

So, we met on the 11th July, 2006 (Tuesday) at 18:30.

Atmosphere is classy - but a bit too "COLD" for me - it'd be great for business socializing

alright, let me write about 23rd October... i.e. "Lucifer" & I met after his 3 weeks holiday somewhere in Europe.

We had some drinks together & he left me alone to have dinner coz he had another appointment afterwards...

3 Glasses of Penfolds Red Wine (@HK$80.00)
My dinner - Boston Lobster (HK$290.00)

Wine is one of Lucy's favourite brand, it's okay.

Lobster is no surprise...

but the companion is GREAT~~!!

Service is EXCELLENT!! :-D

BUT, i think i will never have the chance to go there with Lucy again... :c

Food is great, so as the service & environment. All dishes are well presented, but the menu is a little bit difficult to read. They only write down the ingredients & you dont know how they present it untill they arr.Dinner:Starter: Scollops with coconut taste freshMain: steak & fois gras is nice too looks like caramelDessert: Creme Brulee comes in a class jar, it looks adorable + Wine & cocktail drinksp.s. Dont miss their Dim Sum lunch too
