朋友帶我來食,一入到門口,感覺同樓下既環境非常唔同,這兒高格調好多。我地坐響窗口位,望過對面看見好舊既樓,影響了餐廳既感覺頭盤,要了魚salad,好特別的salad,那些魚混合了薯仔,好像baby food。主菜,都系要了魚,原本想要炭燒,但服務員話lemon butter會香味點,好食點。由於服務員極力推介,所以朋友同我都選了lemon butter 。頭盤有surprise,主菜就覺得so so服務唔錯,服務員會monitor住我地幾時食完頭盤,至開始煮主菜,所以上菜時,時間熱度剛剛好豐富既頭盤主菜後有甜點配咖啡。甜點無0羊特別。。。

到生日飯局, 環境不錯, 由於時間尚早, 12時許, 十分寧靜. 地方佈置亦偏向高貴, 絕對是濶太出沒的地方.頭盤喝了一個豆湯. 味道還可以, 但不是太合中國人口味. 主菜點了羊架加羊脾. 肉質很淋, 不喜歡吃有穌味的人應該很喜歡, 但我卻覺得沒有羊味. 甜品卻教人驚喜. 朱古力雪糕很滑, 很朱, 好像吃朱古力似的. 餐牌上還有不同濃度的味度選擇, 愛朱人士必吃. 栗子蓉pan cake好滑, 伴碟的鮮果批差點比主角還要好吃.想不到3 course的法國餐可以吃得飽, 出人意表.本地的侍應比外藉侍應更懂我們local的心意, 由於人小所以服侍都很好.

An upstairs restaurant overlooking LanKwaiFong; with warm and cozy dinning room. On a recent lunch time, we had their lunch sets, our escargots appetizers was a little plain for me, and the fish was a bit overcooked. The rack of lamb my friend had was tender and tasty.Service from the wait staffs was friendly and efficient. Tables were not too close together, noise level was low, comfortable for conversation.

We used to be regular customers when Mr. Jean Pierre was the Chef at Cafe des Artistes . After it was moved up to the 1st floor about 3 years ago, tonight was the first time we revisited the restaurant. The new Chef should be highly praised for the outstanding dishes at a very reasonable price. Wine list, compared to good old days, is just mediocre; but they charge only HK$200 for corkage. After it was moved up to the 1st floor about 3 years ago, tonight was the first time we revisited the restaurant. The new Chef should be highly praised for the outstanding dishes at a very reasonable price. Wine list, compared to good old days, is just mediocre; but they charge only HK$200 for corkage. We will certainly revisit Cafe des Artistes in the future. On the other hand, service does need some fine tuning in order for this potential three stars restaurant to be upgraded.

It's my friend's birthday and she chose French in Central. STARTERSWe start with snail, foie gras, mussels, lobster soup, and onion soup.My foie gras is okay - it's crispy but the flavour was plain. It's my friend's birthday and she chose French in Central.

STARTERS

We start with snail, foie gras, mussels, lobster soup, and onion soup.

My foie gras is okay - it's crispy but the flavour was plain. Not the best you can get at this price.

Museels is too small....

My friends told me that the lobster soup is really good...

MAIN COURSE
I ordered a bouillabaisse but its completely cold when it was served! I asked for another dish and the chef offered to make me a fresh one. The new dish was okay with lots of fishes and a yappy but only fish. I thought the tradition bouillabaisse will have mussels, prawns, squid and etc.. but again there is no wow factor.

My friend's steak is perfectly done. It was cooked next to the table.

The duck casserole was surprisingly nice. Its a tradition french dish served in a pot with lots of beans. The duck was very tender and juicy! I would say this was the best dish of the night.

The worst thing of the night is the service. The waitress told me she is not familiar with wine and recommended the one that always sold out. The restaurant is obviously understaffed and we were often ignored.

If you are expecting a good dinner - Don't go!

Have heard that this restaurant was reopened in September after a revamp and the menu was updated, thus decided to give it a try.I went there with a friend last Sunday night. I went there with a friend last Sunday night. Arriving at 8pm, we were offered a table next to a big window overlooking Lan Kwai Fong. The deco of the restaurant was contemporary and the setting was relaxed and quite romantic. The service was attentive but somehow not professional enough especially when we asked for recommendations on wines and cheeses.

The food was good and each dish was artistically presented with clever use of colours –absolutely delightful, no wonder this restaurant is called Café des Artistes!!! I particularly liked the burgundy garlic butter snails ($95 for 6pcs), really tasty. The duck breast ($190) and the lamb tenderloin ($250) were good but not too fascinating. We ordered a half-bottle red wine and it went very well with our dishes ($720, expensive but worthy). For dessert, we shared a Grand Marnier Soufflé ($85) which was also nice and satisfying.

An enjoyable meal and will try the seafood platter and the foie gras dishes next time.

朋友請食飯, 佢決定呢度. 頭盤是Lamb Lettuce salad, 少少寡. 主菜是白胡椒牛柳, 辣辣地, 好味! 甜品是什果及檸檬雪芭. 檸檬雪芭夠哂酸! 好掂! 整個lunch除左服務慢少少(但禮貌好好), 所有食品都好清, 調味夠天然, 食完一d都唔會有飽滯感. 下次夜晚再來試下.

嚟依度慶祝朋友生日。環境唔錯,燈光柔和,服務也錯,會過份滋擾。同朋友7時吃到十點幾,真係法國餐嘅 slow food 享受。先來頭盤鴨肝醬鴨腸鵝肝拼盤,配法國麵包籃。每款都味道濃郁,尤其係煎鵝肝,好肥美好好味,配法包真係一流。主菜有釀野雞卷、海鮮意大利飯、龍蝦、紅酒煮牛"面朱dun",除龍蝦比較遜色外,其他主菜都錯。甜品方面,我叫咗一個車厘撻配開心果雪糕,有點失望。車厘撻好乾,好似隔依叮番熱咁,食落去仲係硬guk guk咁,又冇乜味。個開心果雪糕又係冇乜味。我覺得XTC 嘅開心果好味好多。總括而言,我只會嚟試一次便算,咁貴可以有其他選擇。

上星期六有朋友帶我到呢間餐廳試試順便慶祝朋友的生日, 我一去到就見到陳方安生o向呢度用膳, 可想而知呢間有幾high 呢, 星期六午飯時都唔多人, 有幾張o者, 身邊既人都係非富則貴...set lunch $185 包3個courses, 水準一流, 點了沙甸, 他他做starters, 芝士souffle, 魚&鴨做main course, 樣樣都好掂, 值得一試係芝士souffle, 好好味!! 甜品我點了士多啤梨souffle, 裡面仲有雪糕添, 食得好開心, 我一定會再去的!!同人慶祝生日真係一個好地方, service 一流呀!!

自從佢搬咗上嚟,換咗廚,都未嚟過今日去lunch,環境無以前咁好,服務亦差咗食物比以前仲貴咗啲,但菜色風格仍差不多可是今次啲嘢麻麻,係得個braised oxtail幾好(但都不算很好),甜品叫cappuccino...既coffee + cream + ice cream就好差,咖啡都一般今次既感覺唔多好,短期內唔會再嚟

喜歡食西餐的朋友一定要試試.煎鴨肝真係一流,本人覺得他們做得比一般西餐的鵝肝更好味.不論湯,前菜或主菜用料都非常新鮮,非常好味,以下是推介菜式1)鴨胸或腿配焗豆2)煎鴨肝3)周打蜆湯4)海鮮燴飯平均兩位大約消費1000元左右
