First off: don't use Google Maps direction to locate Bouchon. Take the Central Escalator all the way to Shelley street, turn right on Eglin. First off: don't use Google Maps direction to locate Bouchon. Take the Central Escalator all the way to Shelley street, turn right on Eglin. I learned the hardway starting off at the bottom slope on Eglin Street...lost I was.

I sat at the front portion of the bistro with high chairs and tables. The hostess was nice to pull out the table so that I could get in and sit on my chair: seriously tight between tables, but comfortable. Since this was a bistro, I had no problems with the closeness with my neighbours. And you bet, everyone would want to know what you ordered, and vice versa. Steak frites seemed to be popular today.

But I didn't go with the flow. I had soupe à l'oignon, canard rôti (roasted duck breast) and penne cotta: 3 courses $176 , extra $18 for changing to an onion soup.

La soupe had a lot of onions and a rich broth. It was good, but no wow yet. In fact, the melted gruyère I tasted charred bits.

Onto my main. The duck breast was delicious- wow- juicy, moist, and cuire au point. Some might find it a tad red inside. As usual with duck dishes, subtle sweetness came from the jus.

Penne cotta was creamy, a bit too much gelatin for me, with strawberry coulis, and strawberry slices.

I had a good time. Perfectly okay to dine on your own.

Definitely will go back to try other dishes, like beef tartare, Bouillabaise, la crème brûlée...

終於到星期六 ,天氣轉好,落街散步順便食餐好。行到soho ,8點幾,幾乎所有餐廳都full house 要等位,去到呢間見唔太多人,就入左去。Rose ,$70 一杯男朋友點了rib Eye , 我試了一口,好似under cook 喎🤷🏻‍♀️,因為點medium 但切開見到入面仲偏紅色,不過溫度ok ,易入口同埋都好好味,最欣賞係個sauce ,黑椒味,非常辛辣,好開胃我點了500g 藍青口,size 有點大但好甜好鮮味,湯底有好香嘅檸檬香草味,我一邊食啲青口一邊飲個湯,用面包沾呢個湯一流,配上幼身的skinny fries ,好香脆好好味Side dish: mix green veg , 好大條的露荀,食得出加左牛油煮 ,不過有啲咸,我prefer 自己調味

男友找了間餐廳慶祝週年紀念,雖然外型是一間小店,但估唔到都有意外驚喜發現呢。入到店,服務生安排我們坐位後,我們即下單叫飲品,而服務生亦很耐心地為我們介紹每支酒的味道與特色,服務態度值得一讚呢。最後我們分別叫了一個頭盤和兩個主菜。頭盤是Camembert再襯多士和甜薯,Camembert配多士冇得輸,但原來配上甜薯味道也很配,甜薯既甜令到camembert的淡淡芝士味帶出了更濃厚既味道,意想不到呢。而我的主餐是我最喜愛的肉眼扒。男友知道我超鍾意食牛,即極力推介比我。上菜的時候我都看傻了眼呢。首先講講份量,三百多圓來說真是抵到爛,但可惜的是我男友不吃牛的,所以我要自己食哂成份。再看肉質,我叫的是三分熟的肉眼,火喉方面控制得好好,而且上菜的時候,成塊扒都好juicy,肉質入口即溶,還有配菜亦不可忽視,那個薯條的特色是人工手切的,並不是坊間那些現成貨,因為薯條切得比較幼身,所以薯條炸起來比較乾身,所以亦值得留意呢。而男友則點了一個白酒煮青口。這個菜個人來說則是普通一點,跟坊間那些沒太大分別。總括來說,服務態度一流,牛扒一定沒得輸。很不錯的一個週年晚上呢。

和男友到這餐廳慶祝生日,因工作關係,我們比原定Booking嘅6:45遲了30分鐘才到。去到嘅時候餐廳仲有大約30%嘅空位,和職員溝通後,她在電腦check到我們遲到,她便怪責我們遲到,沒有即時安排座位,還黑面地望着我們沒有出聲,我便問他現在可以怎樣?她説你們還有1小時15分鐘用膳,你們OK嗎?我們說可以,然後便安排入座。入座後點了白酒、田螺、鵝肝多士、海鮮濃湯和燉牛肩肉。食物方面質素不錯,但是當我們剛吃主菜時,那位外籍女經理走過來叫我們點甜品吃,我回應她說我們正在吃主菜,請你一會兒再把甜品Menu拿給我們看。她再次怪責我們說,因為你們book了6:45你們應該在8:15交枱,如果你們現在(8:00)不叫甜品,你們往後也不能叫甜品吃。5分鐘後,她便把賬單放在枱上,當時餐廳還有40%空位,男友感到不滿,便以英語反問他,隔離的幾張枱,他們比我們更早來,難道他們book了兩節時間用膳?還是walk in 的客人可以比我們有更長的用膳時間嗎?她回應說,我現在也給他們賬單了。整體用餐感覺像吃快餐廳,從來未見過西式餐廳這樣追趕客人吃飯,還會怪責客人遲到,服務像茶餐廳。感覺上那位外籍女經理對華人嘅服

I came here with my boyfriend for celebration of birthday. Due to some issue for work, we arrived here 30 minutes after the original booking at 6:45. The female manager blamed us for being late and she was reluctant to give us seats where the restaurant was 30% vacant. Finally, she said we could only dine until 8:15. We sat down and ordered snails, foie gras toast, seafood stew, braised beef shoulder and a bottle of wine. The food was fine in general.

At 8:00, while we were having the main course, the manager approached us and asked us to order desserts. I said as we are having the main dishes, can you come back after? She again blamed us for being late and said, “if you don’t order the the dessert right now, we won’t serve you dessert as you have to return the table at 8.15.” 5 minutes later, she placed the bill on our table.

While the restaurant was 40% vacant, my boyfriend was unhappy with the rude service. He countered the manager “The customers of those tables arrived much earlier then I did, did they reserve for 2 dining sessions? Or whether walk-in guests can enjoy extra time for dining? She replied that she was going to give them bills too.

Paying $1,500 for dinner, I did not expect the service like this. I wondered whether I came to a fast food shop. Although we came here late, the restaurant should treat customers with courtesy!

我和朋友今天很想食牛扒,係中環行咗一陣,發現呢間算係最平之一,仲會連埋appetiser 或者甜品,所以決定試試。侍應首先拿來餐包,麵包都幾大舊,仲暖笠笠。Appetiser 我們叫了Smoked Salmon Rillette with Toast and Salad。無唸過lunch set 包埋嘅 appetiser 都咁大份。三文魚係好足料,可惜食落主要係熟三文魚,當中得少少真煙三文魚粒。如果煙三文魚嘅比例再多d就好啦。Main Course 我地揀咗Steak Frites。個steak 高質呀,一d都唔韌,完美cook到medium rare,點埋d醬真係好好食。d薯條係幼身個種,偏鹹。整體黎講,呢到lunch set 真係好豐富,性價比好高,絕對推介!

約了同事食飯,在openrice book 了枱。準時來到,已經對她說了經openrice book 枱,黑面職員安排了座位。落了單的食飯遲遲未來,還漏單,要我們再三提醒。其時其實餐廳一半滿座都沒有。食物上桌,牛排是凍的,點了的medium rare, 鞋到吃不下,我食了一半就放下。我不是第一次來,發現他們的食物質素比之前下降了不少,當然那班黑面waitress 都令dining experience 感覺極差。最後這間餐廳還要mark me as no show , 我打電話給她們說明,他們將責任推卸到openrice 身上,說是openrice system error.這樣的垃圾餐廳,在不乏餐廳的中環,遲早自動消失。

Our friends loved this restaurant, suggested us to come along with them for our dinner together, so we gave it a try and food was pretty good for values.  Restaurant offers two sittings (which we were informed in prior) and we sat down for the first sitting. Towards the second sitting (8:30 PM), without having dishes cleared from table, or even a saying of "Excuse me", this lady just brought a check to us, that was like "now pay and go". We said, "Oh you could have at least perhaps clear plates

We said, "Oh you could have at least perhaps clear plates first" (at this time, restaurant was 70% EMPTY) as just a courtesy.
Then she came back and saying "You laughed at me, now I feel bad, why you are laughing at me, I think you were being RACIST"??!!

First of all, we were laughing because we were having some fun conversation - NOT AT HER! Can we not even enjoy ourselves in restaurant these days and laugh a bit during the convo? 

Secondly and utmost importantly, how can she accuse someone RACIST!!! This is totally unacceptable, especially, my husband being German and myself being an Asian, really does she think we are racists? 

REGARDLESS,  how can you even accuse someone RACIST, this is TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE AND THE WORD SHOULDN'T EVEN BE USED from the first place. 

After being shocked, we asked for Manager and when we explained the situation, only thing she could say was "oh sorry that shouldn't happen" and they both disappeared until we left the restaurant. Like totally not appearing ever again. 

Anyone, cannot accuse other person a RACIST, unless we did/say something horrific about other races which anyway would NEVER be the case especially being a couple from different cultures and having two kids who have friends from so many different nations, how dare she can call us a racist, only because she perhaps THOUGHT that we laughed at her?

I am so sad how this ending ruined our whole evening. REALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

週六晚上不知道吃什麼,隨便來elgin找一家,Bouchon人不少,但是walkin也有一張table。先點了一杯香檳,倒的非常滿,很開心!前菜點了半打蝸牛,味道不錯,我平日最喜歡用蝸牛殼里烤出來的油汁沾麵包,這次的油汁比較稀,味道和前幾天吃得la petite maison還是差了一點。第二個前菜是Assiette de Foie Gras,鵝肝兩吃,Terrine de Foie Gras還有Pan fried foie gras搭配土司和果醬,香肩的鵝肝就不說了,非常美味;我平時不是terrine de foie gras的粉絲,但是這裡做的非常棒,口感綿密細緻,還有絲絲甜氣,喜歡。另外點了一份洋蔥湯,感覺食料很多,但是湯體有點稀。主菜點了Bouillabaisse, seafood stew with 虎蝦、貝、鱸魚 還有蟹, 這道stew真的非常好吃,用料很大方。第二道主菜還是點的stew,是braised black angus shoulder with red wine\ bacon\mash,紅酒燉的牛肩肉搭配培根和土豆泥,湯汁味道真的很不錯,搭配的土豆泥也好吃,這道

第二個前菜是Assiette de Foie Gras,鵝肝兩吃,Terrine de Foie Gras還有Pan fried foie gras搭配土司和果醬,香肩的鵝肝就不說了,非常美味;我平時不是terrine de foie gras的粉絲,但是這裡做的非常棒,口感綿密細緻,還有絲絲甜氣,喜歡。

第二道主菜還是點的stew,是braised black angus shoulder with red wine\ bacon\mash,紅酒燉的牛肩肉搭配培根和土豆泥,湯汁味道真的很不錯,搭配的土豆泥也好吃,這道牛肉分量有點過多,吃到後面有一點單一。

香港的冬天終於來的,在小小的bistro,坐在靠窗的座位,吃著暖暖的stew,喝著倒得滿滿的香檳,突然想到了Hemingway書里那些在巴黎街頭不醉不歸的情節,有時候食物的味道不需要極致,在恰當的日子里,那種美好的氛圍,滿足到難以形容。


忘了說AMEX有9折,具體是哪種卡我也沒搞清楚,請大家自己問一下。

Seafood stew. the soup was very nice. I have to say it's probably one of the best broths I've tasted in Hong Kong. The fried soft shell crab was delicious. The fish inside was also great.

Similar things I'd like to say for the mussels. The soup was excellent. I think the lemon inside the soup worked really well.

However, the quality of the service and staff were rather controversial. I saw them buy a pack of potato chips from across the street and started eating it in the counter (which is pretty much an open area). This really wasn't what I expected in a group managed western restaurant. Certainly did not notice this in other restaurants in the group. Based on this, I'd say there's plenty of room for improvement in that aspect.

Ended up 500 per person including one drink. I have no problem with food but need to work on the staff.

我本人鐘意食steak 食burger 更加係薯條既鐵粉,有一點同大家唔同既係,較喜愛幼薯條🍟適逢老細係美國人又介紹依間餐廳,一於去試試佢入面既感覺係一間小餐館,waitress好friendly,偏酒吧decoration 由於知道一份扒既份量好大,所以只好係叫左platter,仲有一order完送上既餐包做starter已經好夠啦Steak有3款1. Onglet2. Ribeye3. tenderloin每人都有自己既喜好啦我就中意有咬口同肉味重既選擇左onglet如果係中意林身同肥香,就應該會中意ribeye,香港人就比較中意牛柳,最林,肉厚厚Size真係好大,小小胃的我係一定食唔哂,再加上我食哂d薯條講正題,塊扒點先如我所料,係較鞋身有口感,肉味出有肉汁,好既steak唔使諗咩sause點搞花臣,就係要比我食牛既原味,對比朋友叫既tenderloin,真係值得推薦番-onglet

如果係中意林身同肥香,就應該會中意ribeye,香港人就比較中意牛柳,最林,肉厚厚

如我所料,係較鞋身有口感,肉味出有肉汁,好既steak唔使諗咩sause點搞花臣,就係要比我食牛既原味,對比朋友叫既tenderloin,真係值得推薦番-onglet

較早前黎到中環Bouchon品嚐法國5月的午餐,經過很多次卻一直沒有走入去的餐廳。呢次決定去試下!因為沒有訂枱,臨時決定下只淨下門邊的枱可以坐。餐廳唔算大,一眼望得哂。原來佢做緊法國5月!餐牌上的午餐樣樣都好食,我地先點左Appetizer加Main course,甜品之後再諗。先黎餐前麵包,係一整條法國麵包!賣相好得,暖暖地,味道都好!食左麵包無耐前菜就黎喇,因為我地都比較喜歡goat cheese,所以放棄左佢出名既Onion Soup而揀左Toast Goat Cheese Salad with Honey。果然無揀錯,係超。級。好。食!沙律菜夠新鮮,主角羊芝士放係多士上面一齊烤,多士烤得香脆,羊芝士既羶味提升左香口左,加上蜜糖,令霸道既羶味變得溫柔,有畫龍點睛嘅效果,令人再三再三回味!但大前提係你本身要鍾意食羊芝士。主菜先有Scotch Lamb Shoulder Braised in White Wine served with Potato Gratin。羊肉燜煮得夠淋入味,旁邊既烤焗薯仔入口充滿住忌廉同芝士味,好好食!份量夠哂多,食哂啲羊肉時食唔哂啲薯。另一主菜係Seaf

食左麵包無耐前菜就黎喇,因為我地都比較喜歡goat cheese,所以放棄左佢出名既Onion Soup而揀左Toast Goat Cheese Salad with Honey。果然無揀錯,係超。級。好。食!沙律菜夠新鮮,主角羊芝士放係多士上面一齊烤,多士烤得香脆,羊芝士既羶味提升左香口左,加上蜜糖,令霸道既羶味變得溫柔,有畫龍點睛嘅效果,令人再三再三回味!但大前提係你本身要鍾意食羊芝士。

主菜先有Scotch Lamb Shoulder Braised in White Wine served with Potato Gratin。羊肉燜煮得夠淋入味,旁邊既烤焗薯仔入口充滿住忌廉同芝士味,好好食!份量夠哂多,食哂啲羊肉時食唔哂啲薯。

另一主菜係Seafood Stew with Perch Fish, Mussels, Calamari and Garlic Aioli。呢個法式煮海鮮,塊魚先係主角,好大塊!魚皮煎得金黃香脆,魚肉好滑唔會腥。青口都鮮滑既,仲有魷魚!魚上面個塊多士加上黃色既蒜味牛油,第一次食,好好食呀!

甜品chef daily dessert, 因為朋友聽錯左,所以誤叫左呢個chocolate cake😰...食緊一塊牛奶朱古力咁,我就覺得唔好食,可能因為唔係我杯茶。食左一半就放棄左。

整體黎講,呢間係一間好食既餐廳,個沙律真係好有驚喜,主菜又好食,服務都好好,係坐得唔多舒服咋。一定會再光顧的餐廳!

The food was great, but the service was poor. We were a table of three and we opened 2 bottles of wine, surely 1.5 hours was not enough time and the manager should know this and stop us from opening our second bottle since she knew she needed the table at 8.30 sharp. When the table of 14 arrived we offered to move to another table so they could be seated, but she said the other tables were reserved. I mean, seriously, we needed another half an hour at most, but the manager insisted on not moving

今日放假,去揾好朋友食嗰靚lunch❤️好朋友話要同我食餐生日lunch,揾左間好好味既洋蔥湯餐廳😋😋朋友係中環番工,我就去接佢食晏啦🤩🤩🤩𣎴過大熱天時由中環MtR 行上黎餐廳您都米話唔吃力呀!!朋友預先訂左枱,佢話哩間Lunch都好爆架,無計啦,中環多人食嘛😳😳😳一入到去餐廳好鐘意哩度既氣氛,好有歐陸嘅感覺👍我同朋友嗌左一碗洋蔥湯同埋羊奶芝士🍞沙律做前菜,再嗌左嗰steak and 🍟 同埋香煎鱸魚😋😋😋洋蔥湯果然係signature,一塊厚厚嘅芝士鋪上面拎去焗,再加上超多嘅洋蔥係湯入面,真係好濃郁,至於個沙律都不錯喎,羊奶芝士好好食味,配上沙律菜岩岩好呀!食完無耐啲主菜終於到,我見台台都有嗌steak and 🍟 ,心諗一定好好味啦🤩🤩🤩果然冇令我失望呀!我哋帶咗五成熟,啲steak好厚身,啖啖肉,配上啲超級幼身薯條,正呀!我同朋友share食其實都夠飽😋😋😋然後到嗰鱸魚啦,煎得好香脆,一啲腥味都無,配上薯蓉食,多重口感,係好味嘅。短短的食晏時間,可以食到咁好味嘅lunch,滿足滿足!

在蘇豪區覓食,時常有不同的驚喜。這次找到一間古雅的法國餐廳。天花的花紋配上古典的吊扇,叫人走進了時光機一般。加上不同的畫作,更作走到法國一樣。餐湯也有不同的份量,盛載於金屬碗內,這洋蔥湯顯得特別不同。內裏的份量也真不少,咸咸的湯,叫人很想吃下一味菜。主角牛扒雖然不是大大份的那種,但勝在柔軟,牛味夠濃,多了一份特別的溫柔。配上幼小的薯條,突顯法國的一份柔情之感。最後當然要有甜品才能完滿,cream burlee 是不二之選。甜甜的奶味加上脆脆的糖漿,很美滿的一餐。
