睇波之前, 就去左SOHO一間澳洲餐廳度食, 就係BONDI啦, 環境不錯, 格調走高尚路線, 幾有氣氛, 坐得好舒服點左個BONE IN PORK CHOP WITH APPLE GRAVY AND SEASONAL VEGETABLESWAITER介紹之下, 原來係用左加拿大既豬扒賣相好吸引, 造到好似法式羊架咁, 約只有8成熟的豬扒帶有微微粉紅色,肉質出奇地爽脆多汁, 肉質細嫩柔軟, 唔會太肥膩,瘦肉與脂肪比例剛好,色澤紅潤透亮,口感十足, 肉眼扒嫩滑得來有嚼勁,而且肉味香濃, 甘香美味, 食左一陣都仍保持鮮嫩不嚡口, 絕對係我第一次食到最好食既豬扒!!SIDE DISH都好正, 配左紅椒, 酸的口感,  質地脆且口感更甜, 用黎配埋豬扒一齊食, 簡直一流!!甘筍好爽脆,  有嚼勁的口感, 煎到好香, 絕對不比豬扒失色!!!

賣相好吸引, 造到好似法式羊架咁, 約只有8成熟的豬扒帶有微微粉紅色,肉質出奇地爽脆多汁, 肉質細嫩柔軟, 唔會太肥膩,瘦肉與脂肪比例剛好,色澤紅潤透亮,口感十足, 肉眼扒嫩滑得來有嚼勁,而且肉味香濃, 甘香美味, 食左一陣都仍保持鮮嫩不嚡口, 絕對係我第一次食到最好食既豬扒!!

就叫左份帶子小食~青瓜面上放上帶子,帶子食落軟細緻綿!每個帶子上都有粒魚籽~提升鮮味

I then heard about rump, hanger, skirt steaks. I did not play much attention on the recent trend as I thought they were just gimmick. Until tonight, I have a good piece of Hanger Steak that changed my perception.

I recalled I searched Hanger Steak from Google before. I understood a hanger steak is a cut of beef steak prized for its flavor. This cut is derived from the diaphragm of the animal, that is the lower belly. It typically weighs about 450 to 675 grams. It is also called the “butcher’s cut”. Due to the limited supply, butchers keep the portion for themselves. Well, I learned but this did not arise my curiosity.

At Bondi tonight, I have extra time to chat with the manager. He highly recommended me to try Today’s Special which was Hanger. Though with some hesitation, I took the advice. Oh my god! What I have was just gorgeous!!

In the first sight, Hanger Steak simply looked like an ordinary steak. Quite a think cut with golden brown color and slightly charred outside. Checking on it, medium cook was done perfectly. Inner portion remain pink in color, with no bloody juice, color gradually turn brown to outer. I could tell it was very juicy with trace of oil on surface.

With a big piece in mouth, I found the steak was extremely juicy and tender. It was interesting that I felt like there was some fats melting in my mouth, however, not greasy at all. I then took a close look on another piece.

I almost thought I was eating a Wagyu, I found fat hiding in the tissue of the meat. Omega-3 enriched moisture of the meat. That was why my palate was satisfying with strong beef favor and buttery texture at the same time.

Suddenly I got a thought to check on its Chinese name from Google, result was爽腩,坑腩,崩沙腩. I learned immediately, this part of meat usually carried soft tissue. What I saw was not fat.

The rich taste of the meat was also exceptional. I thought the steak was cooked in red wine sauce. However, I later found that it was seasoned in homemade sauce which was mainly made of soy sauce, garlic and honey. Additional chimichurri sauce was prepared on the side. A slight dip added sour taste to the meat and lighted any greasy one may found.

What came with the steak was mixed mushroom, baby carrot and potato chops. They were all grilled and seasoned in the same sauce so were delicious.

Hanger Steak, you really changed my perception to you since tonight. I’ll be with you from now on!! Haha!!

In fact, I got a full 4-course dinner. Let me started all over again.

Shredded onion or trace of herbs can easily been seen inside the focaccia, accentuate favor of the bread. Hummus was mainly made of chicken pea and herbs, with mild favor. The dip was not a must since the breads were sufficiently tasteful.

Presentation of this dish was always eye-catching with obvious contrast color and texture. Used to be slow cooked, tuna remained raw and pink in the center and gradually turn red on the outer. They were evenly coated by white and black sesame seed purposely for crunchiness and additional favor.

For the one at Bondi, slices of Tuna were sitting on a pool of rocket salad. Green and pink color together further brighten up my appertize. A dip made of sesame and garlic was added on the top.

Tuna was cooked in semi-raw condition perfectly. It was lovely soft and moist with crispy sesame, pleaseant sesame favor. Rocket salad was bright and its interesting bitter taste delightful freshness of tuna.

主菜方面我個人選擇了份燒春雞配自家製燒汁($198),燒春雞有800g重,燒得雞皮微焦脆香,而且燒至金黃色澤,雞皮也夠薄,沒有一些脂肪,咬一口已經爆出juicy的肉汁,亦有豐郁的雞味,肉質也有嚼勁細滑的口感,蘸上濃郁的燒汁,令人欲罷不能。

再與友人分享一份烤焗鱸魚配檸檬牛油汁($238),配菜還有帶甜酸的西班牙泮蔥及紅甜椒,魚皮煎得非常香脆,魚肉亦特別香嫩,配上清新的檸檬牛油汁,有檸檬的酸香同時又帶出牛油的香氣,吃鱸魚時的口感更香又滑溜,再來一啖旁邊的西班牙泮蔥, 甜甜酸酸真是好清爽開胃,都非常特別令人有驚喜。

甜品方面個人較愛食朱古力款式,所以每人各點一份chocolate gateau tart ($86),香濃幼滑的朱古力,味道都好醇厚甘香,質感濕潤而軟腍,食落都軟綿,當中夾雜了果仁粒粒,帶些咬口感覺,甜度適中又晤膩口,帶軟綿綿的朱古力在口腔內慢慢融化,實在使人回味無窮。

It was a no brainer for me to order any steak medium rare. The steak was plated nicely with some chimichurri sauce on the side, roasted new potatoes, mixed while mushrooms in spinach sauce, and organ baby carrots.

The steak was grilled until perfection with a nice crispy char surface, but remained very soft and succulent sexy pink centre. 

Do you know hanger steak used to be called the "butcher's steak"? This cut of meat was so good that butchers usually just keep it for themselves. The flavour was really powerful with a exceptionally strong beef flavour. The just cooked pink beef was juicy but not the disgusting kind of bloody.

Cabenet Merlot

The owner was very passionate about food and wine, he knows so much about wine that he could easily recommend the best wine to go with your dish. To me, drinking is almost like a must while having food. The cab merlot was powerful and full bodied, a great compliment with the hanger steak with a very strong beefy taste.

Double espresso

Bondi restaurant is really famous for its coffee so I have ordered a cup of double espresso after my meal. Their double espresso is very strong and rich. The coffee oil was thick and aromatic, there was even a layer of coffee powder saturated at the bottom. It was definitely powerful and a great way to finish my dinner since it eased with my digestion.

剛好黎到中環諗住食完飯岩岩好去飲杯野 黎到呢間餐廳 見佢好近蘭桂芳 價錢都好低 所以黎試下 佢既環境好靚 座低冇幾耐 侍應細心上前介紹佢地既菜式 因為佢地係冇味精 同新鮮即整 所以都要需時等待 咁我就先叫左前菜 湯 同主菜湯方面簡左個甘荀薑既湯 好似好特別 飲落去真係好過癮 佢其實係明符其實既甘荀湯 好香好滑 不過入口去到喉嚨就有小小辣既感覺 黎自薑 不過薑味係一d都唔重 好正佢仲配有自家制既麵包 係好彈牙 好實既口感 唔係空氣泡牛肉粒呢個好香 肉丸上面有一塊芝士 上面淋上熱既番茄漿 小小酸酸辣辣既感覺 佢既肉丸係好實肉 好香好新鮮既牛肉味 入面應該仲有小小洋蔥 咬落去有小小爽口既口感主菜係魚 呢隻煎得好香 好新鮮 一食入口肉係實既 唔係散開晒 佢配菜係新鮮磨菇洋蔥同紅羅白 唔會好咸 味道好有私房菜既感覺

黎到中環食樣樣野都貴 上網見到呢間見佢係觀塘既分店 諗住試下同埋睇下價錢會唔會相差好多黎到見到環境好靚 佢係全玻璃廚房 感覺係好浪漫既情調 睇左menu都係全英文 店員主動細心介紹有咩推介 問我地鐘意淡味定濃味既野食 佢表明佢地冇添加 都係選用新鮮材料 簿身既青瓜片 配上原粒帶子 上面有三文魚子 小小沙律菜同洋蔥配襯 有小小既檸檬汁 好鮮甜好正磨菇湯好香濃好滑 佢既味道係好新鮮 佢再有自家制既麵包 熱熱地 岩岩好入口 好實既口感 豬仔脾佢係煎到好香 d肉好滑 好林 佢既配菜係有洋蔥 磨菇同好新鮮既紅羅白 最正既係通常配菜都係罐頭 佢係用新鮮食材 好有心思
