A new branch of Yata opened in the Western District. With this new opening, they decided to create a Hello Kitty focused pop up in their grocery store. The surrounding shops in the building also decided to do Hello Kitty centered products. The two flavors were regular (I assume butter) and chocolate. They looked cute. But man ... were they dry! The taste was fine and not too sweet. The butter version tasted a bit better than the chocolate one. But the cake itself was dry as a piece of cardboard. I sadly munched on my dry Hello Kitty cakes with despair. Another marketing tool where they can only focus on the cute and forget all about the taste. Definitely not worth a try.
