It was my dad's birthday so we decided to have dinner at the Gateway Cuisine (南大門). We went to the restaurant without buying any seafood so the staff from 南大門 referred us to Mee Wo Seafood Harbour (美和漁港海鮮) to buy some.Initially I had reservation about this seafood stall as there was no review about it on OpenRice. Nonetheless, since 南大門 is supposedly trustworthy, I decided to give 美和 a try. Bill, the staff from 美和, brought us to seafood stall from the restaurant. The stall looked very simple and unremarkable. However, it was very tidy. There was a wide variety of seafood, all looking huge and fresh. We had to wait for about 15 minutes as there were other customers around. They serve their customers on a first-come first-served basis which I think is very fair and systematic. The staff were very polite and were apologetic for keeping us waiting. Actually the wait was nothing as it was really fun to just stand in the stall to admire the seafood. We ordered one big snow crab that weigh about 5 plus catties, 6 medium sized abalones, 6 bamboo clams, 6 huge prawns. All only cost $2420. I think it is reasonable and 美和 gave us complimentary seafood soup, papaya mix fruit platter and one cuttlefish. We followed Bill's recommendation regarding how the seafood should be cooked and all of them were really tasty.Bill and Sister Money (Bill's mother who is the owner of the stall) put in great effort to ensure that their customers' seafood were delivered and served at the restaurant. They came over to check if our food was okay and chit chat with us. They were so friendly and fun to be with. Bill and Sister Money were jokingly bickering with one another and it added lots of laughter to our dinner. I am just so impressed by their customer service and seafood.I will definitely recommend this stall to my friends.
