my long-time-no-see colleague Lynn came all the way from Singapore to meet me!!! I am sure she hasn't had the chance to try out this kind of shaved ice desserts anywhere in SE Asia so decided to bring her here!
Having heard that the main shop at 黑布街 is always full and packed we checked out this branch in 廣華街.
Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere there (: i was as excited as Lynn because it's my first time to be there too. She picked the more "traditional" flavor 宇治金時 (with red bean paste, 小丸子, 椰果 and tea jelly?) and i picked the newer Horlicks flavor with chocolate syrup, wheat germ powder and cornflakes. i have always loved Horlicks so this is totally my favourite!
The plate came not long after we ordered and this is really like what i saw from the reviews -- like Mountain high!! I think the air con in the shop was ok so the ice didn't melt instantaneously.. which is good! Lynn's wasn't bad either, love the 小丸子, 非常好咬口! But i personally don't like red bean paste and thought the green tea flavor isn't strong enough so i didn't pick this. Luckily Lynn said that the flavor was strong too but would prefer more green tea syrup on top next time ^^.
Both of us were so full and would love to come and visit this shaved ice dessert shop again!! Hopefully by the time we re-visit again they will have more and more flavorsss. Hmmmm will durian flavor ever come?! All the durian lovers would LOVE to stay here it you have it!
