Wangjiasha provides traditional Shanghai food, that’s why my friend and I were excited to come to try the xiaolongbao here tonight after shopping around in Whompoa. Xiaolongbao is the most famous and recommended dish here, so I ordered the one with crab, which was extraordinary to me because usually xiaolongbao was made with pork only. The experience of tasting this was better than I expected as the orange- coloured soup was full of crab essence. It was filled between all the gaps in the xiaolongbao! It was so juicy and it tasted savoury and umami. When I bit it, the crab juice just kept bursting. Delicious.The wonton with spicy sauce has strong Chinese herbs and spices taste, the sauce was dark red in colour because of the specialized chilli oil, but it was not too spicy. The size of shrimps were large enough for us and they were chewy =) It was nice that the wrap of wonton was thin enough.For main dish, we chose the fish with pickled vegetables, which was not listed in the main menu but the chef's recommendation menu. It was also not too spicy, where the pickled vegetables were sour and very chunky. The fish meat was snow white in color, very tender and soft in texture, and most importantly, without bones. Shanghai cuisine is one of my favourite dishes in all Chinese dishes.This time we tried a famous Shanghai Cuisine Restaurant - Wang Jia Sha.The environment of the restaurant was great with modern Chinese style, we were lucky arranged to sit in a booth, it is comfortable for us to enjoy our lunch.Since there are tons of foods we wanted to try, we ordered six dishes in total for our lunch.Personally, it is a must to order dumplings when eating Shanghai foods.This time we ordered Steamed Pork Dumpling with Crab Meat (蟹粉小籠包).The dumplings with thin skin and contain a lot of soup with a strong crab flavor.Pork Dumplings with Shanghai Style Chili Sauce (紅油抄手)The dumplings are soft and the chili sauce with great tuning that gives a decent spicy scent. This is my favourite dish for this meal.Shanghai Spare Ribs in Plum Sauce (上海話梅骨)Spare ribs was soft with crispy surface the plum sauce provide sweet taste.Fried Shanghai Noodles with Cabbage & Pork Ribs (排骨粗炒)The shanghai noodles was fried just right, not too dry and not too oily. The pork ribs were soft and tasty.Sliced Beef “Tan Tan” noodles with spicy sesame sauce (五香牛𦟌擔擔麵)The size of the noodle is large, the soup diffuse bursts of peanut and spicy flavor.For our dessert, we ordered Red Bean Souffle Balls (高力豆沙球)The souffle balls were fresh and looks good with golden yellow surface.It is a nice experience to have meal in this restaurant. My friend recommended this restaurant since it is cost-effective so I booked for my Saturday lunch.I came around 1:15pm. Here was around 80% full.I and my friend were so crazy to order 6 dishes including dessert because we were really hungry.A waitress gave us a small bowl of fried peanut – peanut covered with thin saltIt is not too salty but very crispy.It is appreciated that the speed of meal delivery is very fast. About 10 minutes, all dishes exclusive of dessert were arrived.Shanghai Plum Ribs wow, the size was quite enough. Its taste is very good because of its sour taste good for stimulating the appetite. Mostly ribs have little fat that is much suitable for me, who is scared to eat too much fat. Like!!Meat Dumpling in Red Spicy Oil before trying, I didn’t have any expectations on it because I ate Sichuan Meat Dumpling in Red Spicy Oil and I don’t like it.However, after trying this Meat Dumpling in Red Spicy Oil, I change my mind because it is very delicious!! All meat dumplings are thin skin and full stuffing as well as the sauce is mixed with garlic, soy sauce, spicy oil, sugar mainly. It is little spicy but not like Sichuan with hot & numbing. Like!!Dan Dan noodles with Spiced Cattle Shin (little spicy) I was so surprised when I saw its big size!! It is distinct from other Shanghai restaurants which provide same size but with double price. The soup is very thick; the noodles are cooked just right.Crab powder Dumplings thin skin and thick taste of seafood. Dumplings inside the soup can fill full a spoon.Shanghai fried noodles with pork chopsnoodles are fried with many pork chops, Chinese cabbage and dried mushroom. I am afraid noodles are fried too dry and oily but here’s noodles don’t have this issue. Each noodle is covered with sauce. Nice.Souffle Egg White Balls with Red Bean Paste fresh fried and very expansive. It has a strong egg taste. It will be better if red bean paste increase a little more.By the way, it is commendable that the service is very good, no matter the attitude of staff or the speed of meal delivery. They fill your tea actively. Moreover, they produced Souffle Egg White Balls after our main dishes. :)…查看更多
