This Shanghainese restaurant is located in an estate shopping mall so I didn’t have any expectation at all for its food quality. However, it really surprised me with its cheap yet delicious Shanghainese noodles! Each set consists of a main dish (rice/noodz), a side dish and a beverage.I had the Dandan noodles which was made with peanut butter, minced pork, peanut flakes etc. The many different ingredients tasted pretty good together and the noodles were as oily as expected. If I had to change one

I had the Dandan noodles which was made with peanut butter, minced pork, peanut flakes etc. The many different ingredients tasted pretty good together and the noodles were as oily as expected. If I had to change one thing, I’d add more chilli oil to the dish.
The side dishes we had were the spring rolls and the Shanghainese dumplings. The spring rolls were very crispy and there were lots of fillings. The dumplings were filled with soup so beware of the hot soup when you take a bite!
hkfoodtour’s official verdict: Very good value tea sets (even on Sunday!!!) offering good Shanghainese dishes at $38 or $45!
