Our group of six dined here recently for lunch. The set menu is quite good value during the week. It is a semi buffet - you have a buffet starter and then select your main course. Appetiser buffet has salads, cold cut meats and cheeses, bread, and condiments. For main course I ordered the vegetarian dish, a layered eggplant. It is very generous in size, with tomatoes and goats cheese. I actually couldn’t finish it. Two of my friends chose to share one eggplant dish and one Beef 73, which was a better idea. The eggplant was nice - but after a while it just felt like all eggplant, there was so much.
For dessert I chose the cheese cake, which was very nice, I finished it quickly!
Overall, if it weren’t for the eggplant dish, I would rate my meal 4 stars - the buffet and dessert were nice. But this meal overall is 3-stars. I wish I had chosen the salmon instead - next time!
