I've dined here on two seperate occasions. The first time, I tried the standard burger ($100) duck fat fries and a can of soda ($20)When my order arrived, I was shocked at how tiny the burger was. I thought that maybe the quality of burger (rather than it's size) would justify the price. Sadly this was not the case. The burger was mediocre at most. The duck fat fries were soggy too. Definitely not worth the price tag. Pardon the pun, but I have a little beef with their "Call your receipt nu

Pardon the pun, but I have a little beef with their "Call your receipt number serving system"
The way it works there is that you pay for your food at the counter, find somewhere to sit, and when your order is ready, they call out your receipt number, you flag the server and they bring it over to you. Well the problem is that they only call out the receipt number in English. And quite often there's no response because some customers doesn't understand English or they may be distracted. So rather than call it out in Cantonese, the server will shout the number out louder and louder, over and over again, to the point even other members of the staff will join in the shouting (and sometimes in an aggresive tone) That's where it gets unpleasant and obnoxious for the other customers. Ok, I get it, Butchers Club wants to market itself as a true authentic American burger joint, so a little bit of yelling over the loud music to give it's that lively, rowdy atmostphere was prescribed. But their staff have taken it way out of context because the yelling it's just over the top. It can also be humiliating for the customer when all eyes are turned to him when he finally realize his number is being shouted across the restaurant by the entire staff. If they don't want to use Chinese as well as English for whatever reason then perhaps they could implement another order indication system like taking a flag to your table.
The second time I ate there was because I was invited as a guest. I had the pulled pork burger. At $160 it was equally as disappointing, if not more, when compared to the first time. Obnoxious order number yelling was still intact.
So there you have it. Over priced, mediocre quality, micro sized portions, and unpleasant yelling with a risk of getting humiliated. I give this place 6 months tops unless they start getting their act together. You've been warned. Steer clear.
