This was the first time I went to Su Casa since they've moved! This time, some of my friends came over to Hong Kong for the first time! and of course, I took them to Su Casa to impress them and they were not dissappointed at all! I booked a table early in advance! cos' I've missed the duck liver penne for so long and it cannot be missed!!!The weather was so bad that night and it was pouring down with rain! Monica and Garry's new restaurant is quite a bit bigger! The interior design is very simple but nice! The lighting and the atmosphere was very comfortable! We soon forgot the hassel of getting there!
The four of us first started with 2 seafood platters! Including one of my favourites, fresh yummy oysters, and of course we ate them in order as suggested! I'd never realised how whelks could be so delicious, so we ordered some more whelks! so fresh and so rich in flavour!
Then we had the eel salad, lobster linguinie! and at this time, Monica changed our wine for us to red wine! and hear it comes!!!! Kobe beef and the duck liver linguine (they ran out of penne, so they had to use linguine instead! but it was still very very nice!!!)
Finally, we had desserts! As well as Tiramisu and Sorbet, of course we had some chocolate hot fudge pudding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gorgeous!!!!!!
Monica planned our whole dinner for us and it was just perfect! My boyfriend wanted to try the Kobe, so Monica put the Kobe in with the rest of the food and it came out at the right time, right order amongst all the other food!! Every dish just complemented with each other very well!
When we wanted to have a fag break, Monica would let the kitchen know so our food wouldn't get cold or over cooked! Everything was great! My friend's been to a lot of nice restaurants over the world, including restaurants with Michellins stars! and he said this is one of his top restaurant! especially the duck liver pasta! I totally agree! I've been to some good restaurants myself as well, including Jamie Oliver's! I dare say that Su Casa is as good!!!! or not, better!!!
I just love the food and the service here!!!! You guys make me feel proud of being from Hong Kong! Can't wait to come back and enjoy the oysters, whelks, duck liver pasta, kobe, eel, chocolate pudding...................................... again and again........
