久聞太子大廈頂樓開了間餐廳,還有露台靚景,早已計劃來試下午茶。是日到中環辦事,見有半小時空檔,便走去看看,飲杯咖啡也好。咖啡 $55 杯,與對面文華同價,與咖啡同來的還有已很少見到的白方糖和從澳洲來的蔗糖粒,曾看意大利咖啡專家的報導,咖啡最好用白糖,因可飲到咖啡其原味,而提倡咖啡用黃糖,祇是糖商的商業策略,我也不顧那麼多,試試澳洲蔗糖,加上些少奶,咖啡顏色潤澤,泡沫細緻,味道甘香,不帶酸,入口幼滑舒服,在今天這個天色陰陰沉沉的下午,真是不錯的怡神飲品。餐廳分了幾個區域,有向文華那邊的 casual 區,檯面沒有舖檯布,讓人客不致那麼拘謹,雖說是casual,但對我來說,這裏也很 decent 呢!而在後面近銀行那邊是 fine dining 區,舖了檯布,牆上有巨幅名畫,格調比較莊重一點,而露台區是近皇后像廣場,設有沙發,酒吧,方便吸煙人士。與文華的咖啡同是一樣收費,我會選擇這裏,因為坐在露台區遠眺靚景,已值回票價,侍應的服務也很週到。

飯後時間尚早,和友人去就近遊樂場的Sevva,為是晚的耍樂作個開始。甫走出電梯,動人的爵士樂現場演奏已徘徊在耳,感覺良好。吾友和我把Wine list看了良久,雖然對酒沒什麼研究,但發現這裡的wine selection比我們預期的級數低,有點失望。四個人點的飲品也不同,滴酒不沾的友人點了一杯桃汁,另外兩位友人點了兩杯白酒。小妹對這兒的紅白酒沒有興趣,點了杯零五年的Sauternes,過甜,但總比友人的白酒好飲。坐在露天範圍,一邊聽著爵士樂一邊聊天,是晚有點涼意,舒服非常。侍者態度恰到好處,不會太熱情又不會太冷淡。坐了兩個多小時,十二時多結帳離去。這個晚上最後在遊樂場醉得胡裡胡塗,老了,還是少玩一點好。

跟朋友有事傾,中環這裡比較清靜,就坐出去慢慢談。知道這裡的crunch cake索價百多一小件,但三百多一個,當然買一個走。坐下來,又想試下大蝦忌廉汁意粉,就點一份。蝦夠新鮮,忌廉汁夠香夠滑,整體十分可口,值得推介。crunch cake,吹噓得太過份,crunch及cream合格,但蛋糕本身比較鞋口,不夠鬆軟,整體我覺得cafe one的什至是美心的都比這個好,完全不值這麼貴。朋友埋單,謝!* 笑面主比大蝦忌廉汁意粉,crunch cake完全是喊面

crunch cake,吹噓得太過份,crunch及cream合格,但蛋糕本身比較鞋口,不夠鬆軟,整體我覺得cafe one的什至是美心的都比這個好,完全不值這麼貴。

之前來過好幾次了,喜歡這裡的大蝦意粉,也喜歡這裡的酥皮牛肉,更喜歡的是,這兒的環境。今次來,是和朋友來吃個 pre-xmas lunch,她點的是 nub nub,看來就是個不同蔬菜和豆類的"粒粒"吧......不是我杯茶,但朋友說很不錯。我呢,點了個 Claypot rice,是新嘗試。一上檯,貌似湯飯。有些雞絲,有些蝦粒,有些豆豆,這些味道清得來都很不錯的。至於飯嘛,似乎是一個個的小飯糰,炸了,放進湯裡。不好吃,完全不好吃,太怪了,好像總共有五個小飯糰,我只吃了兩個便實在吃不下去了。下次來,還是吃大蝦意粉、或酥皮牛肉好了。吃完後到室外走一走,白色的聖誕樹太美了!^^

成日見到雜誌讚到呢間野天上有, 地下無, 加上book 位book 左幾次都full, 更加對呢間野抱有希望, 唉! 點知.....一上到去, 漆黑一片, 加上嘈吵既音樂聲, 好似去左LKF多D...裝修係呢度既賣點, 不過, 本人就唔係太欣賞, 成間餐廳每part以不同主題設計, 感覺並不調和...和menu 既多國食物, 雜亂無章好配合~ 多國食物, 顧名思義就係讓人客品嘗世界美食, 不過呢度既食物就 "到喉唔到肺" ......唔知想點~東主可能投放太多資源在裝修, 忽略了餐具既質素~ 尤其係D刀叉~~~~不過值得一讚既係, 呢度服務員十分友善, 有賓至如歸既感覺~ 仲有靚景, 如果淨係黎飲野唔食野, 呢度不失為一個好地方~

Went there for afternoon tea with friends. View is excellent, but food is bad. The sandwiches tasted very "霉". Cakes are not fresh as if from last night. It costed us $380 for 2 tea sets. I would rather go Mandarin or Peninsula.

There is so much buzz about Sevva, simply it has a superb location and a great view. Perfect for after work drinks and client functions.I have been there many times myself, service is sub par but the view and atmosphere is great so I wasn't too bothered about the service. Last week went with friends, one guy was wearing shorts and we didn't realise they have a dress code. They can accept ladies wearing tiny hot pants but for guys strictly no shorts Monday-Friday. Isn't it sexist????

I have been there many times myself, service is sub par but the view and atmosphere is great so I wasn't too bothered about the service. Last week went with friends, one guy was wearing shorts and we didn't realise they have a dress code. They can accept ladies wearing tiny hot pants but for guys strictly no shorts Monday-Friday. Isn't it sexist???? After negotiating for 15 minutes, they finally let us go to the balcony and that's it, no drinks served.
Anyway we didn't miss much, there are plenty of venues in the neighbourhood. For example, Mandarin has a great view and they provide trousers for guys who don't meet their dress code, that's what I call service.

環境真係好唔錯,但因為無BOOK枱,只得被安排坐梳化位,梳化同枱係一樣高,成餐Lunch都食得好舒服。叫左:台灣牛肉麵﹣ 一般,沒什特別,麵比較乾身,唔係好索到D湯韓式牛肉burger﹣ 味道不錯南瓜湯﹣ 過份濃味,似醬汁多D大蝦忌廉汁意粉﹣ 公認為全餐最好食,可以一試最要講係個Crunch Cake...有好多人話好食,但試左就覺得好失望。D Cream 同 Crunch 都OK,但個蛋糕真係粗鞋到過份(睇相你就會明白!)仲要收我$125一件,即大約8份1個。同類crunch cake, Cafe One 都係買三百多,甚至美心都有,只係百多元。但就肯定好食好多

I made a return visit to Sevva today during lunch, along with a few other colleagues. We had someone who has never been to Sevva and was eager to try it out, so the anticipation was pretty high.I wanted to try something different on the menu, so I chose the beef short-rib burger. The menu indicated that they drew inspiration from the Koreans, meaning it was similar to marinated kalbi - a bit sweet, fatty and tender. I made a return visit to Sevva today during lunch, along with a few other colleagues. We had someone who has never been to Sevva and was eager to try it out, so the anticipation was pretty high.

I wanted to try something different on the menu, so I chose the beef short-rib burger. The menu indicated that they drew inspiration from the Koreans, meaning it was similar to marinated kalbi - a bit sweet, fatty and tender. The burger also came with tomato and purple onions, plus fries on the side. Honestly, while I thought it was interesting to use kalbi as the meat, I wasn't wowed. I thought I was eating a glorified Mos Burger or McDonald's Fantastik... For the price that they charge, it was not good value for money. I'd much rather go back to Shake 'em Buns!

Two of my colleagues had the wagyu beef cheek and ox tongue pot pie that I had last time, and both thoroughly enjoyed it. The other colleague tried the Taiwanese beef noodle that she had heard so much about, but found it disappointing as there was too little beef, the broth was too sweet and the texture of the noodles not up to her expectations.

As two of us were disappointed with our food, we all decided to make up via dessert. The four of us ordered 5 desserts to share. The signature crunch cake was interesting - it was a simple, light cream cake which came with some butterscotch/toffee crunch on the side. The crunch was really nice and fragrant, although I found the cake to be a little on the dry side. The warm pear tarte a la mode was pretty good. It was done in the style of very thin tarte tatin, with sprinkles of nutmeg (I think...or was it vanilla?). Anyway it came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is always welcome.

We also had the signature turtle pie - which was chocolate but filled with hazelnut and othe crunch bits, and topped with whipped cream. This was OK but did not wow me. My favorite was the chocolate fudge cake with marmalade. The layer of fudge in the midde was rich enough for my taste, and the topping of candied citrus rind was a perfect match with chocolate fudge. Yummy!

For me the disappointment came with the coffee jelly (can't remember the actual name...), a cup of layered pure coffee jelly as well as creamy coffee/cappuccino custard. I was picturing something much sweeter, but instead it was unsweetened coffee jelly, and the custard was also unsweetened.

Well, the meal today was saved by the desserts. I guess I should look for something else to order next time...

Booked a table on the Bank Side to try their more formal service and sophisticated food.Since i heard mixed feedback from others about this restaurant, i really wanted to see for myself. especially the view they have there of course.... the people at the reception and outside on the terrace, as well as the waiter that served us were all actually pretty decent and nice, although i have to say their english wasn't

the people at the reception and outside on the terrace, as well as the waiter that served us were all actually pretty decent and nice, although i have to say their english wasn't that great, but hey, at least they weren't rude. that's why i was a bit surprised by what the others say about their service, maybe they have improved due to all the complaints, i'm not sure.
anyway, what really threw me off was the food actually which was my main concern for going actually besides their phenomenal view (but pierre is enough to suffice for that too). the bread they brought us was cold and not tasty at all. the salad was just okay and the special lamb rack that they had wasn't particularly special either. i mean they totally just lacked the 'wow-factor' in their food. my friend wasn't too impressed with her pumpkin soup and chicken as well.
i know the restaurant deco's designed by bonnie gokson but again, it's not exactly what i haven't seen or initially have expected.
i mean all in all everything was okay. i just think it's a bit overrated and the location of the restaurant actually helped a lot with the atmosphere more than their quality of food and service.

友人叫了三文魚沙律﹐她對這沙律讚口不絕﹐三文魚都藏在中間﹐只是外邊煎了煎 (像 seared tuna)﹐外面的菜是暖的 (不是一般的冷沙律)﹐沒有放太多油﹐只用了甜豉油調味﹐另外放了點花瓣畫龍點精﹐帶出淡淡幽香。

我叫了南瓜湯 -- 這湯特別之處是它放了點點咖喱油在面﹐喝的時候喝到點點辣﹐但洽到好處﹐非常引人食慾!

主菜友人的白汁大蝦意粉 (Prawn Pasta) -- 最頂的是黑松茸 (Black Truffle)﹐香得要命﹔蝦很爽 (但第一隻好過第二隻)﹐意粉配上 cream sauce聽說很好味 (友人還是一再叫我下次試﹐她說﹕試過後我可能會對白汁改觀!! [有沒有這樣厲害呀??])

我叫了雜菜粒粒 (Vege Nub Nub)-- 裡面有十種不同的菜﹐切成粒粒﹐然後就像吃生菜包般吃 (有汁另外上的﹐但我沒有放﹐因為就這樣吃已很好吃)﹐但份量實在很多﹐我吃到一半已吃不下 (這個最好是叫來幾個人 share 吃)﹔裡面還有炸米粉﹐讓口感更強。

雖然說是飽﹐但一定有準備一個“甜品肚”﹐用來吃甜品嘛!!

我的 Latte﹐泡打得很滑﹐咖啡也不涸喉﹐值得犧牲!!

友人叫了 Earl Grey -- 用茶葉沖的﹐很香。很喜歡它這個茶壺﹐而伴 Earl Grey 的奶也是打過的。

甜品友人叫了的萍果撻 -- 粒粒有嚼口的萍果粒﹐甜而不膩﹐唉﹐早知要一口試啦!!

我的 Crunch Cake -- 絕對是驚喜﹐因為它一陣檸檬清香﹐令它不至太膩﹐口感還比起 Spoil 的招牌 Crunch Cake 更勝一籌!

埋單$1782 (已加一)﹔不是普通一份午餐﹐但有景﹑有美食 (水準非常平均的好)﹑服務也很周到 (沒有像其他食評說得差﹐可能改善了?)﹑份量也很多 (下次可以減份量來叫)﹐聽說還有下午茶﹐下次會試試!!

I went to Sevva with my friend for afternoom tea last week. It turned out to be a pleasant experience. The waiters were polite and helpful. The afternoon tea set featured a range of delicate and delicious savouries and the portion was just right. It was unlike other restaurants or cafes which served high tea sets in small portions and with a lot of desserts.The view was good of course, complimented with stylish furniture and deco. Personally, I'd prefer Sevva to Four Seasons.

I ordered a grill salmon salad and it's soooooo delicious. the salmon is half cooked and the portion is just right. But I think it's too oily. The Grill salmon itself is very oily already, and the chef shouldnt have added too much olive oil to the salad.Nice view, nice atmosphere, the service is better than many restaurants in HK. However I think generally the waiters dont really know their trade in HK, which really ruins the whole dinning experience.

I went to have drinks over the weekend, lovely night scene packed with lots of people.Most happening place in HK at this moment. However the service level is like Tusi wah, waiter did not understand Eng.I ordered a Bellini, when he served I stared at the glass and asked him this is really Bellini? How come no bubbles?? So he went back and changed another one for meOMG, I would not order any cocktails again, it tasted like some cheap cheap white wine like 5% of it and mix with non sweeten peach j

OMG, I would not order any cocktails again, it tasted like some cheap cheap white wine like 5% of it and mix with non sweeten peach juice. For $14x, I can make a better one.

Not dare to try the food there yet.....
